I woke up hearing a knock at my door, taking a peek at my phone I seen it was already 1:00 p.m. Damn I must have been tired I thought to myself. Getting up off the bed, making sure my robe was secured tightly around my body I opened the door. " Ms.Davis asked me to bring you these things." The concierge said happily while handing me four bags. Grabbing the bags, thank - you so much, I said shutting the door. 

Placing the bags on the bed, I went and grabbed my phone, f**k I said aloud realizing I put my phone on airplane mode all night, I didn't want my mom trying to call me. Switching it off airplane mode, a s**t ton of voicemails came through along with a few text messages. A few being from A'Niyla.Reading the messages, I was laughing slightly because she is so funny sometimes. The last one she sent was from about twenty minutes ago, I wonder why she just didn't come up. I quickly texted her back to let her know I was okay, and I got the bags. Throwing my phone into the middle of the bed, I started going through the bags. She bought me body wash, fresh pajamas, underwear, and bras all from Victoria Secret. In more of the bags, she bought some comfortable Nike workout clothes and a few pairs of sneakers. The last bag I opened was an apple bag, peeking inside I saw she bought me the new iPhone xs max in gold. There was a note on the top of the box. It read

" Hey Kels, I know you probably want a fresh start. Here is a new phone with a new number, on your own plan!"

I really just couldn't believe she was doing all this for me, She was so selfless I've never met anyone with a more pure heart.

I activated the new phone and sent her a message thanking her again for everything. I turned off my old phone and threw it in the trash can, I wanted nothing to do with that old life, just thinking about a fresh start made me tear up. Finally, I'd be able to live freely and not worry about if I was going to get r***d at night or if I was going to eat. Wiping a stray tear that fell from my eye I grabbed one of the Nike outfits and some body wash and took a quick shower.

After I showered quickly and got dressed. I brushed my teeth and put my hair into a bun.Deciding it was time to call the clinic and get my appointment scheduled, I googled the closest clinic and seen it was within walking distance, I know Niyla said she would be there but I kinda just wanted to be on my own for this, dialing the number someone answered quickly, explaining to her that I am pregnant and am not keeping the baby, she said they actually had an opening now if I wanted to come by. Letting her know I was on my way I hung up. Slipping on a new pair of shoes she got me I grabbed my new phone hotel key and left.

The walk to the clinic was quick, but it was pretty gloomy outside. It's like the world knew how I felt inside and was portraying it in the weather. 

I signed in and took a seat on the cold metal chairs they had in the waiting room. There were only a few other women in the clinic, all looked to be in the same mood I was in. " Ms. Bennett?" The MA called my last name. Getting up I followed her to a room. 

" So what brings you in today ma'am?" She said smiling. I couldn't understand how she was so cheerful. 

Well, I began. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was positive. I do not want to keep the baby so I'm here about my options. 

" Okay sweetheart, not a problem, first we will have to confirm the pregnancy and then we can discuss all the options you have available to you." She said as she was writing something down on a chart. 

"I'm just going to need you to pee in this cup for me and leave it in the cubby above the toilet and I'll be back, in about fifteen minutes with the results and we can go from there." She said handing me a little plastic urine cup. 

With that, she left the room. I walked into the bathroom that was inside of the exam room and left the sample where she instructed, washed my hands, and sat back on the exam table patiently waiting. What seemed like the longest fifteen minutes was finally up, she walked in the room with no expression which made it even harder to read her. 

" Well Ms. Bennett, it seems as if you got a false reading yesterday on your test. Looks like you aren't pregnant." She said handing me a piece of paper that confirmed what she had just said. 

Shocked I didn't know what to do, tears immediately escaping my eyes I hugged the women without a second thought. Thank you, thank you, thank you I said while hugging her. 

I quickly backed away realizing I was hugging a complete stranger. Sorry, ma'am, I didn't mean to scare you. I'm just so happy. 

" Well you are welcome dear, you are free to go if you'd like." She said

Folding the piece of paper in a little square and tucking it in my pocket, I walked out of the exam room feeling like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. My life was starting to look up and I couldn't be happier.

Walking out of the clinic I couldn't wait to tell A'Niyla the good news, pulling my phone out of my pocket I bumped into someone causing me to drop my phone.
