The sun coming through the blinds woke me up, looking down to see a sleeping Kelsey on my chest I couldn't help but smile. She was what I've been missing, she makes me feel complete. It's like I've known her my whole life when in reality I've only known her for a few days. Being in this house reminded me of my time and relationship with A'Niyla, it wasn't all bad with her but I always knew deep down in my heart she wasn't the one for me. When we got together five years ago I was a very different person. I've grown, we grew apart. When she told me she didn't love me either I was so relieved. It was going to make this process much easier. Reaching in my pocket for my phone to see what time it was. It was now going on noon, damn I thought to myself I never sleep in this late but we were up super late talking. Scrolling through my contacts I clicked on my friend that was a realtor, I sent him a quick message to ask if he had any condos or luxury apartments for rent. I wanted to get out of this house as soon as possible. I wanted Kels to feel safe and a home, she was telling me last night that she's never had her own room. I mean she was twenty and never even lived on her own. I wanted her to experience life and be happy. This break she was taking from school was good, she needed time to live for a little while. I wanted to give her all the things she never had. She was the most humble person I've ever met. Closing out my messages I opened google and started looking at cars, I wanted to surprise her and get her a car so she could have a sense of independence. Looking through cars I finally found an all-black 2018 Tesla that I thought she would look so cute in. I reserved it and scheduled a test drive for today at four-thirty.

  Smiling I closed the apps out and slid my phone onto the nightstand, just as I was setting it down Kelsey started moving as if she was waking up. She smiled looking up at me. Good Morning beautiful. I said causing her to smile more. "Good Morning yourself," she said. I have a few things planned for us today if you don't mind. I think you will love them. Do you want to start getting ready now? I questioned. " What do you have planned Derrick, you've already done so much for me I don't think I can accept anything else," she said sitting up in the bed. Sitting up facing her, Kelsey you truly deserve the world, and if I can even give you a portion of it I am. I said seriously. Shaking her head a tear began to fall from her eye. Kelsey, why are you crying baby? I asked wiping the tear from her cheek. " Derrick you are so sweet to me, I don't know what I did to deserve any of this," she said looking down. I leaned in kissing her cheeks softly. Kelsey, please stop crying, this day is supposed to be happy. I said. " You are right Derrick, I'm going to get up and take a shower and brush my teeth, thank you again for everything," Kelsey said jumping off the bed heading towards the bathroom. You're welcome beautiful, but you really don't have to thank me.

Deciding to give her some privacy I got up off the bed and went to get dressed, I just realized that I hadn't called anyone at the gym and told them I wouldn't be in. Not that I had to but normally I would be there by now and I didn't want anyone to worry. Calling the manager I told him I wasn't going to be in for a few days. So if he needed anything to just call me. 

Walking into my bedroom I headed straight to the closet to grab some comfortable clothes, looking around the room I knew I didn't want to keep anything from this house. Niyla had decorated the house and I didn't have any input, I was kind of excited to be able to pick out my own things. Eventually, she and I would have to talk because her things were still here and the house was in her name. I jumped in the shower quickly brushing my teeth while I was in the shower. Getting out I dried off and put some lotion on my legs and face and put my clothes on. I sprayed some cologne on and brushed my hair quickly. Putting my phone in my pocket and going to see if Kelsey was ready to go.

I was done getting ready in about forty-five minutes, since I don't wear makeup it never takes me long to get ready, I still was in shock from everything that's been going on. I made the bed and straighten up the room a little. Just as I was putting my shoes on Derrick knocked on the door, come in I said. " Wow you look so beautiful," he said walking in the room. Thank you, Derrick. I said walking towards him. He pulled me close to him wrapping me in his muscular arms. Instantly melting at his touch, I can't believe he has this much effect on me. Kissing his lips softly. " Okay we have to get going, our first appointment is at one-thirty and it's in the city so we should leave now if you are ready," he said.

Yes, I'm ready I said, can I ask where we are going? I questioned. " Of course you can ask, but it doesn't mean I'm  going to tell you." He said laughing as we walked down the hallway. Walking into the garage he quickly went to the passenger side of the car opening the door for me. " We are going to look at places." He said getting in the driver seat. Oh my god, Derrick, you were serious I said looking at him. "Yes of course I was serious Kels, why wouldn't I be?" He said seriously. " I don't want to live in this house anymore, I want to be somewhere I'm happy." He said backing out of the driveway.

Pulling up to the first location about thirty minutes later we both agreed we didn't like it. We looked at about three more places before we settled on a beautiful two-story condo with tons of light. The best part was that it was already furnished so nothing had to be done, I didn't have anything to my name but my phone and the few clothes Niyla had bought for me. We ended up signing the lease and Derrick made me put my name on it also. He said he wanted it to feel just as much mine as his. The whole house hunting thing went surprisingly fast the whole thing took about two hours.

We pulled up to a car dealership, I was so confused about what we were doing here. Derrick, why are we here? I asked him. He got out of the car smiling. Derrick, I know you heard me I said getting out of the car after him. " Of course I heard you, baby, I wanted to surprise you with a car. You are going to test drive that Tesla over there." He said pointing to an all back 2018 Tesla. Oh my god, Derrick, I said screaming. You can't be serious. I said. I jumped in his arms immediately crying into his shoulder........
