"your highness you need to get ready today is a big day for the king and queen your parents so you need to hurry and get prepared I've prepared the tub" said the lady-in-waiting "c'mon anny let me sleep just five more minutes please" Arya said in a sleepy voice "am sorry your highness but you have to get ready" said the lady-in-waiting "fine since it's a crime in this country to get some sleep" princess Arya said annoyed, she stood up and her lady-in-waiting helped her to the bathroom to take a shower.

when she was done her lady-in-waiting helped her to dry her hair and started applying makeup on her body, while she was preparing a knock was heard on the door "your highness her majesty is here to see you" a knight said and in five minutes her mom entered her room with a warm smile on her face "good morning sweatheart I see you're almost done preparing let me know when you're done okay? sweetie" her mom said "yes mom I'll let you know when am done thanks" her mom smiled again before she left.

as the door behind her mom closed Arya let out a deep sigh "this is gonna be a long day" she said frustrated

when she was done getting ready for the big day she was heading to the ball room when she bumped into someone and stumbled backwards but luckily the person was quick to catch her, she adjusted herself quickly and looked up to see who caught her and when she saw the person she couldn't help but be in awe at his looks but she quickly regained herself and thanked him and left

when she got to the large door leading to the ball room she could hear music, chattering and laughter inside she took a deep breath and a knight opened the door, when she entered the room everyone fell silence and was staring at the angel coming inside the room "ugh why are these people staring at me it's kinda annoying" she said inwardly, when she looked up at were the king and queen and her siblings were sitting she could see her mom smiling at her, her father looking at her expressionless like usual, the eldest sister Veronica who hated her the most glaring at her, Arith looking at her but not glaring at her and her best friend and favorite sister Estelle was smiling wildly at her.

Then she went to sit on her spot and was watching everything that was happening silently when Estelle said "sis look at that cute guy over there I think his hot I want to talk to him so I'll go enjoy myself" Arya just smiled at her sister's behavior, Estelle has always been what she wants and how she wants it she never cared about any one's opinion or what they think of her she didn't care if she was a princess she just lives life the way she likes.

when Estelle left Arya was just keeping an eye on her while sipping a wine when "Arya" she heard her father calling her name "yes your majesty" she answered "I need to speak with you privately so follow me" Arya stood up looking puzzled and looked at her mom but her mom avoided her gaze when her father lead her outside her father said "you'll be engaged to the crown prince of Atlantis"

her father said Arya was dumbstruck of what her father just said " What! dad I can't get engaged am just seventeen you can't do that" she said anger evident in her eyes "it will be beneficial for this country, the people of Averna will benefit from it stop being selfish" her dad said "But dad I...." she couldn't finish her word cuz her dad caught her off "no but you're going to get engaged in three days whether you like it or not" and with that he walked out of the room. Arya was devastated she couldn't believe what her own father is doing to her she just sat down on the couch and was sobbing but she knew she had to go back to the ball room

After she freshened up a bit she went back to the ball and sat down completely empty and blank when she saw a man approaching her father she didn't give much attention but when she heard her father's voice her whole body tensed up "Arya come here" she obeyed and went to her father's side and her father took her and the man to another room "Arya meet crown prince Ace of Atlantis the man you'll be engaged with Arya just stared blankly at her father and then the prince he had blonde hair and green eyes he was good looking but she didn't care

"dad am not getting engaged to him and sir the prince am sorry to say but I won't get engaged with you" and with that she stood up and left, her father was fuming with anger but she didn't care anymore

When Arya reached her room she told anny and Alexa two of her ladies-in-waiting to escort her to take a walk she also took two knights with her, when she got into the carriage she was quiet till they reached their destination. She was looking for a way to get rid of the people escorting her so she joined the crowd and she lost them

she ran off and went to one of the stalls that was selling sweets "welcome my dear what sweet would you like to buy" a middle aged woman said "Mrs I want those one's over there thank you" she said politely, when she was done buying it she was about to go when she stepped on a person's foot mistakenly she immediately apologized and it was coincidentally the same man who she bumped into "am so sorry it was a mistake" she said "I know and nice to meet you again princess Arya" he said with a smile " nice to meet you too sir" she returned the smile "oh please you can call me draven" he said "if you don't mind may I join you you on your walk" he asked "of course" she replied with a smile. and they walked together.
