Seeing Nicholas, Eric, William, and all the guys leave to go and fight when I could do nothing, was very hard. I know they can handle this themselves, like countless times before, which is why they earned the most fearsome pack in our world. But Eric and William are my family, and Nicholas is my mate, the man I love, and father to my unborn pup, so I worry about them a great deal. The moment the office was sealed off, into the safe room, I turned my attention to Kayley. She had been pacing a hole in the floor since we found out about the attack. I guess one of the Betas told her, because it is the duty of whoever is of rank and in the packhouse to ensure that all us females of rank are in the safe room.
