Two | Jade Moon Pack

Dmitry's P.O.V

I smile and wave to our girls as we leave for the Jade moon territory. As I turn to my Luna, Iris, I drink in everything I love about her. Her pale almost white eyes, her dark lashes that whisper over lightly blushed cheeks and last, her beautiful, full red lips. I want to commit them to memory in case this meeting doesn't go as we planned. It's then I realised Iris was trying to talk to me.

“Dmitry? You awake?” she smiles. 

“ Yeah” I say, pulling her closer to me. Not hard to do when she's so tiny. “I’m just looking at the most beautiful wolf in the world and wondering how I got so lucky”

“Well I don't know how I got the big, bad alpha of the SilverCreek pack to be so sweet” she smiles “you're almost like a lovesick puppy” Iris finishes giggling.

I smile down at her, pressing our heads together and pulling her into my lap”

“ Whoah, keep it PG back there you two” Enzo shouts. “ I don't need that when I’m driving thankyou very much”

Smiling even wider I lean down to give Iris a long kiss.

“Eww! Guys pack it in please!”

I chuckled loudly. Enzo was only 20 and took over Beta when his dad was killed in a raid on the pack. He was a good man and I have every confidence that Enzo will be just as great, that is until my Ari takes over from him. 

“Enzo I need you to do something for me when you drop us off with the Jade wolf pack”

“ Of course Alpha, anything”

“ I need you to turn around and go back to the SilverCreek territory. I want someone I trust back at the pack house with the girls incase this goes t**s up”

The silence once I’d finished my order was deafening, but absolute.

“Yes Alpha” 

Another reason I knew he would be good for the girls once they took over was his ability to follow orders without question. Especially to keep the pack safe. It helped he was 6’5 and built like an Ox, he was intimidating to say the least.

Iris and I snuggled the rest of the way to the Jade wolves. Who knew when we’d be able to do this again. I had a bad feeling about this trip and I’ve heard whispers from other packs, they know what's about to go down. That was part of the reason for sending Enzo back to the twins, he hasn't found his mate yet and Iris thought it might be on the horizon.

My Luna knew as much as I did, I couldn't keep anything from her and she would have murdered me in my sleep if she thought I was going on a suicide mission alone.

We’re in this together she mindlinks me. The girls have been preparing for this their whole life and they'll have Enzo and Dorian there to help them. We’ve built this pack up to be as strong as it can so they've got a good base to start their own leadership. 

I know she’s right. My girls are strong and they'll be able to pick up the pieces if we don’t come back. 

It was just then that we arrived at the pack border where there was another vehicle waiting to take us further in.

“I guess this is as far as you go then Enzo” I announced before he could protest. “Remember what I said earlier”

“Yes Alpha Dmitry. May the Goddess be with you both” he says before getting out of the car and opening our door. Iris goes first, aided by Enzo then they both stand to the side to let me climb out of the car and stretch to my full height. Lorenzo had nothing on my 6’9 frame. I was the biggest wolf across the country and almost the size of a small werebear. I easily tower above the warriors sent to escort us to the pack house.

 I turn to Enzo “you know what to do now Beta Lorenzo”

“Yes Alpha” He says soberly before getting back in the car and returning to our SilverCreek pack lands. We were completely on our own
