"Come on ladies, we haven't got all day! 30 more press ups for the last 5 to finish!"

I winced at the prospect. Stanley was a tough son of a b***h but he made us all the best fighters we could be. Essential for a future Alpha and Beta like me and my twin. Yes we were both female and women Alphas are practically unheard of, but Ariana and I have never stuck to the rules.

I pulled myself up and smiled. First to finish. Again. Ariana groaned as she finished her set and saw me already done. "How are you always done first? We're twins! We're exactly the same!"

"Obviously not" I laughed "Older equals better" 

"Older my ass. It's only 3 minutes!"

I tried to smother a giggle but she saw me and smacked me on the arm before laughing too.

"Stanley we Ok to go? Mum and Dad want to see us before they have to leave for the Jade moon pack"

"Yeah, it's not you girls I worry about" he smiles before shouting back to the male dominated training session  "Come on ladies! Mush!"  

As we walked away I heard a chorus of moans fill the air. No doubt another task from our almost tame trainer. "Race you back to the house" I shout before sprinting off. 

"Tati! How have you got the energy to run after that monster training session! And it's 7 in the morning!" Ari moans before starting a gentle jog after me.

The house in question is the pack house. The Alpha and Luna have the top floor with their family, the Beta and Gamma share the next floor down and the ground level is a communal area shared by most of the pack. We’ve also got a small village filled with houses for pack members and their families.

 As I run up to it I see the car being prepared for Mum and Dads journey. It’s not ideal for them to go 2 days before mine and Ari’s birthday but it’s essential for our two packs to build a strong alliance. Besides, they should be back well before the party so mum can go full Luna mode on the decorations and arrangements. 

I roll my eyes and smile, it’ll be more like a small wedding than a birthday party. Not that I mind too much. You only turn 18 once.

Just as I’m about to walk in the door I see my parents talking in a hushed voice to our Beta, Lorenzo. He’s my Dad's newest Beta. Normally you only pick one, but even Alphas can’t predict the future. I’d not seen him much but he was gorgeous. Big baby blues and a sandy mop of hair alongside huge muscles and a tall, tanned, bulky build. I'd still have odds that I could take him down if I had to. I quickly move back out the doorway to snoop only to be tackled by Ari.

“f**k sake Ari” I cant help but laugh as we sprawl into the entrance hall.

“How was I supposed to know you were gonna reverse out of the house?” she laughs as she helps me up.

Mum and Dad come over to say goodbye, their previous conversation seemingly forgotten. “We’ll be back before you know it, ” Mum whispers into my hair as we hug. “Besides I don't trust anyone else to organise my girls 18th birthday” she smiles as she lets me go.

Dad then ruffles my hair “ don't worry girls. Anyone even thinks about ruining your party, I'm sure your mother will be back here so quick her wolf will leave steam behind.” he chuckles as mum gives him her Luna glare.

“Alpha Dmitry, we really need to be setting off if you want to make it to Jade moons territory on time” Lorenzo shouts from the car. I say car, it’s more of a Jeep with reinforced steel. Unnecessary if you ask me, people have no business ruining works of art like that. I’ve talked dad into letting me have my own car after me and Ari turn 18, I hope he knows what he's letting himself in for.
