We all got excused from Landyns office after we had a good plan in motion. For the first time since I learned my mom was alive, I felt like i could breathe, knowing we were so close to getting her out.
Landyn asked Lily to stay behind, and as we were leaving, Myles headed into his office.
I noticed how she shifted in her chair and her twitching when her mom was mentioned.
I knew she had to be in a great amount of pain. She usually hid it so well, but she was struggling at that moment.
My heart broke for her. I was getting my mom back, and she was losing hers. I know how much she loves Raya, and Lily always said she was a good mom growing up.
It just shows what people are really capable of when they are hurting.
