“Did you enjoy your shopping trip with SunHee?” Darque asked.
“Very much,” said Penny. “She’s quite an amazing woman, but she didn’t say too much about why she’s here, other than to spend some time with her cousin and uncle. I have a feeling she didn’t think too much beyond that activity, and that has gone wrong because the only place they can see each other is here, and she has no idea where ‘here’ is.”
“We moved the three of them out of the house pretty quickly after the Chinese team showed up, but I don’t know if she feels she’s in danger. Did she mention anything about that?”
“She didn’t say anything about it, but she looked around a lot while we were out. I couldn’t tell if she was trying to spot a threat or enjoying the freedom to shop where she wanted to.”
