With plans progressing toward the neutralization of the missiles, Darque decided to pay a visit to the lab to see how things were going, and Doc greeted him as he entered the area.
“I thought you’d forgotten we existed,” Doc said.
“I’ve been busy working on a couple of other things, but I knew you’d be able to keep things moving in the right direction here.”
Doc nodded toward SunHee before speaking.
“She’s an amazing woman, but there’s a sadness about her that belies her cheerfulness. Glitch is very protective of her, but they work well together, and he’s learning quite a bit from her. I think she’s teaching him things up to a point, but not beyond.”
