Dmitry “Gia!” I yell the second I walk through the door, my voice echoing through the house. My boots barely touch the floor as I take the stairs two at a time, the banister rattling under my grip. “Boss, Miss isn’t home yet,” Jerry calls from behind me. I stop mid-step so abruptly my knee clips the edge of the stair. My heart stops. That’s not possible. My eyes dart back upstairs, the lights are still off, there's no hum from her little night sounds. I didn't see her after the race with the Langley's, which means she should be already be here.
