Chapter 3 ML's point of view: And now we're here inside the car, sitting beside each other while the driver starts the car and begins to drive. Ela probably hasn't noticed because she assumed I was purely Spanish, but in reality, I have mixed nationalities. My grandfather is Indian, and my grandmother is Thai. My mother is the product of their union, and since she's half-and-half, my father, who is Filipino-British, wouldn't be outdone. It's quite confusing, isn't it? I've grown accustomed to this setup since my family has been involved in various businesses across different countries. They established our large company, and perhaps the reason why the lovers in my family have different backgrounds is because of the business ventures they've set up in various countries. Anyways, the only reason I ended up in Spain is because Zan asked for my help with another business affairs of theirs. I decided to join because I know their company's goals are noble, and with my help, they can strengthen their efforts to help people. I'm really supportive of her, so when it was time to return to the Philippines, I came along so we could work together again. And now, back to the present. Ela is just staring out the car window while I'm sitting here, feeling incredibly nervous! She's really beautiful, unlike Zan, who thinks she's handsome. I'm way more attractive than her. She's so ugly. But Ela is the opposite; she's so cute and pretty, especially with the sunlight hitting her face. Wait, what!? Why am I suddenly thinking this way? But really, I can't believe she's the one Zan always talks about, the one who started their company's vision and mission. Zan says she's like the supervisor. She only handed over the company to Zan because she preferred to help people directly as a doctor. Because of that, I became the top investor in their company and Zan's second counselor. Even though Zan inherited the CEO position, her sister still holds the power as a shareholder. Now I understand why Zan has so much respect for Ela and why she always talks about her kindness. I can see it in her eyes; you know, eyes can speak louder than words. I suddenly stopped staring at her when Ela called out to me. "Hey? Are you okay? Do you have a headache?" she asked. I was suddenly startled because I thought I just glanced at her, but it turns out I've been staring at her for quite some time, maybe thirty minutes! I'm so embarrassed. "Ah, I'm fine. It's nothing," I quickly replied and immediately looked ahead. "Is that so? You've been staring at me since earlier," Zan's sister whispered, thinking I couldn't hear her.
