Elira's POV
“You don't remember?” The alpha king asked me, and I shook my head. I can't have them suspect me.
“Of course not. It's just that since I just worked up after three days. I would be allowed some rest.” I bit my lips down, hoping I had not said the wrong thing.
“You are right. The training must have been too heavy. We will have the court postpone the fight between you and Alpha Moon.” The a
Alpha King said, and I froze.
A fight?
Between a man and I?
An Alpha?
What! Who the hell is this girl?
I groaned inwardly as different thoughts wrapped into my mind with no answers to them.
“Yes father, I think that's the best thing to do right now.” I agreed with them.
“Father, may I be allowed some rest? I still feel lightheaded.” I lied, and the Alpha King immediately grabbed my hand.
“Just let us know if you need anything at all,” the alpha King said and kissed me on the forehead.
“You stay!” I said to the girl. It seems I will be able to gather enough information from her.
“She's your personal maid. Of course, you would want to spend more time with her,” The Alpha King said, and I nodded my head.
“Yes, thank you, Father.” I thanked them as they walked outside the door.
“Uhmm tell me, what did I miss as I was away?” I pulled her down to sit closer to me.
“Nothing really, princess. Everything was placed on hold as you were sick. We couldn't continue with the fight without you,” she explained.
“Your father had wanted to withdraw you, but your men were worried people would think you were afraid and lied about being sick.” She looked sad as she spoke.
She must be incredibly close to Avelyn.
“Do you think I was afraid and faked my sickness?” I pressed her.
“Of course not! You have trained for this battle all your life. You would never do something like that,” she argued.
“I have known you since you were a little child. You trained harder than anyone and even become the head of the warriors,” she continued.
“The fight was only to prove your ability to the pack, to show them you are ready to lead your people at any time.” She concluded, and I immediately got the whole picture.

So this girl, Avelyn, is a princess and daughter of the royal Alpha King. She's a trained warrior as well.
Avelyn was supposed to have a duel with an alpha but suddenly fell and took ill for three days.
This is the first time she has worked up since then, and now we are here.
“But what I do not understand is why I'm suddenly here. I'm very sure I'm not the same person as this princess. Or else I would remember everything.
Then who am I?
“I'm sure there are so many people having different speculations about my sudden sickness.
We should clear their doubts and have them know the princess is alive and well,” I suggested to her.
“Really Princess? What exactly do you have in mind?” She asked me, and I pulled her down as usual.
“We should hold something like a small celebration. What do you think?” I asked her, and her face lit up in excitement.
“That is such a good idea. You never liked balls. You were always so busy training.” Her eyes flickered with excitement, and I nodded at her.
Three nights later, I sat across the mirror with Gladys, my personal maid, and some other maids helping me get dressed.
“Which color do you prefer, princess?” One of the maids asked, pointing a pair of heels at me.
“I think this one would go best with my dress.” I said to her, and she bowed her head.
“You are ready to go, princess.” Gladys giggled, and I opened my eyes. I looked extremely different, and I almost didn't recognize myself.
“Let's go!” I ordered and got up from the chair.
In the past three days, I have been able to find out different things.
First, I am the only child of the Alpha King Gillean and Queen Marrisa.
My father is the Alpha King, ruling over twelve subordinate Alphas on the West Coast.
And since I'm the only child. I'm heiress to the throne, which means one day, I will be ruling over the land.
I have learnt how skilled I am with swords and hunting. I have defeated eleven of the twelve Alphas under our kingdom. Alpha Moon was the last and most feared one among them.
Many fear I will not be able to defeat myself, but Gladys says otherwise. She says I can defeat anyone, which is why I'm feared amongst most men.
The moment I stepped into the packed arena. Everyone present cheered with their attention and eyes scrutinizing me.
My feet immediately felt heavy amidst the numerous gazes, but I didn't dare to back down now. I need to know who I am.
As I stepped into the cheering and whispering crowd. I instantly felt dizzy, and something that seemed like a hidden memory flashed before my eyes.
“Mate…”
A familiar girl in a white dress whispered softly in the midst of a crowd like this.
