The ringing of my phone interrupted my thoughts. It was Evan. "Come with me to a dinner party. I already had someone send the dress over." I took the gown from his assistant. It was Lillian's favorite shade of pink, and even the size was Lillian's. It hung loosely on me, shapeless and ugly. ***** By 7 p.m. that evening, Evan still had not come to pick me up.
