Jaiyana had noticed something since her first day. Firstly, was that the food at Salvatore tasted very good. Secondly, the students were very rude and had segregated themselves into cliques and, lastly, Viktor was very popular with the ladies in a toxic way. “Stay away from him, that's my final warning” the girl growled harshly. Jaiyana crossed her hands and leaned on the bathroom sink with raised eyebrows. She had just finished peeing and washing her hands when four girls cornered her in the toilet. From the looks of it, they were a clique and powerful ones at that, since the other girls just left quietly, not bothering to defend Jaiyana. “And you are?” Jaiyana asked, not scared that she was probably outnumbered by the girls. The lead girl scoffed, not believing that there was someone in this school who didn't know her. “I'm Stephanie and your senior, so you should show me the respect that I deserve by listening to me, stay away from Viktor, he is mine” she said, flipping her pink-dyed hair. Jaiyana shrugged, she had nothing to do with Viktor, and she would never. Just the sight of him infuriated her to the deepest part of her heart. She hated seeing him around her, especially after she had heard negative things about him from Casper and the other people around. “I have nothing to do with him, you can just ask him to stay away from him, it's not like he's my type” Jaiyana said with an eye roll. “Excuse me? How dare you say that ! You must be blind to say…” Just then, the door of one of the toilets opened and someone Jaiyana was very familiar with walked out. It was Alexa, she was wearing her school skirt and a lemon green shirt which matched her shoes. “I can't believe that things like this go on in this school. How can you girls be so stupid and cringy”, Alexa said, walking slowly to the sink to wash her hands. Jaiyana looked at the four girls and realized that they were visibly scared of Alexa. Jaiyana herself was not surprised since Alexa was the daughter of the owner of Salvatore, so it was explainable. “Hey… Al..exa” Stephanie stammered, “ I was just teaching Jaiyana here the rules of Salvatore “ she said with a faint chuckle, scratching her head. Alexa, who had finished washing her hands, walked towards Stephanie and rubbed her wet hands on Stephanie's clothes. The color of Stephanie's face turned to a bright red and any onlooker could clearly see that she was angry and humiliated but didn't dare to say a peep. Alexa walked towards Jaiyana and held her on her neck. “She's my friend, so she doesn't need a stuck up prissy little b***h like you to tell her the rules. I will tell her myself now, will you please bounce out of here with your ugly little minions”, Alexa said. She hadn't even finished speaking when the four of them rushed out of the female restroom, like ants on a hot pan. Jaiyana burst into laughter immediately as she high-fived Alexa. “Did you see their faces?!” Jaiyana asked and they burst into laughter again. © © Viktor was painting , sweat rolling down his half naked body in torrents as he punched the punching bag with all his strength. The strength of his fists wrapped in a thin fabric got the punching bag swinging around helplessly. Soon the punching bag burst open and the sand and sawdust inside poured on the floor. “Your fifth one this week” Tyler said, his hands in his pocket as he glared at the heaving and panting Viktor. “I'm f*****g stressed out Man! I feel like the whole anger is piling up in me and threatening to explode”, Viktor growled, his usual gray eyes were now a deep shade of red, showing that he was at the edge of snapping. Tyler shifted back, knowing that his friend was about to go berserk and once he did, it would need a lot of help to calm him down. “Mate! I f*****g need my mate!” Viktor growled, his voice sounding guttural and unhuman-like. “Well you can't, she's human and doesn't even know what she is to you” Tyler said with a shrug, knowing fully well that he would get in trouble for saying this, but to his surprise, Viktor's eyes turned back to gray slowly as he regained his senses. “You are right, she's human, I need to win her over and tell her about who I am”, he said, and rushed to the bathroom. “Thank God he still knows that he reeks of sweat” Tyler exhaled in relief. © © Jaiyana browsed through the books in the library, her eyes trained on the original literary masterpieces in front of her, almost glittering. “Hey” a familiar and annoying voice said. Jaiyana exhaled, wondering if she wasn't going to get any piece of mind at all. “Can you please go away, I'm trying to read here” Jaiyana said exasperatedly. “Why don't I read together with you? I'm also thirsting for new knowledge”, Viktor said, winking cheekily at her. His facial features illuminated in the light of the library looked more handsome and ethereal and, for a moment, Jaiyana felt her breath hitch, but she closed her eyes, trying desperately to control the blush that was spreading on her cheeks. “ Viktor , you might be handsome, popular or a bad boy, but you are exactly not my type. '' Jaiyana said seriously, She had her future planned out, and she didn't see herself being with someone flippant like Viktor. He was not just the type of man she wanted to settle down with, he didn't even look like someone that wanted to settle down. All he looked like was someone who just wanted a quick and effortless f**k, and she wasn't one for that. Viktor grinned and leaned closer. Now she was trapped between him and the bookshelf. He leaned forwards, his lips close to her ears and whispered hoarsely. “ I don't need to be your type, all I know is that you are my type and I want you” he nipped her ears slightly. Before leaning up and walking out of the library, a proud smirk on his face. Jaiyana stood gaping at him, not even trying to hide the blush that had spread on her cheeks and down to her neck.
