I stood there dumbfounded, as I hold my mate in my arms as she sleeps, standing in my office.
It terrified me to force my mark on her like I did, also knowing in a week she'll be inheat. But I had no other choice but to, or lose her forever to his command.
But instead of being mad, she.....she kissed me and it wasn't just a peck, it was a meaningful, loving kiss.
My mom walks into the office, she looks at Adriana. "Brian go lay her down, it's been a rough morning for her," my mom says, looking at her sadly.
"Mom, she....she....she kissed me," I tell her.
"Does she know you had to force your mark on her," mom asks.
"I tried to tell her, but I couldn't," I tell her.
"But she figured it out before.....she kissed me," I say smiling lovingly at Adriana.
My mom beams a smile at me, "so she's not mad," she asks.
"She smiled mom, when she figured it out, she then kissed me, before she feel asleep," I tell her.
"I'm glad son," she says placing a hand on my shoulder and Adriana's arm. "Take her to bed, she needs to be comfortable, she'll be asleep for awhile, recovering from the mornings events," mom says.
I leave the office and carry my mate to our room. Tucking her into bed, I sit in a chair next to her, that I pulled up.
I just sit there watching my beautiful mate, my very reason of existance sleeping, peacefully.
