Getting to Adriana and I's room, Mike was standing guard outside the door. I nod to him and he leaves. "Thank you," I tell him. "Whatever you did, you better make it right, she hasn't stopped crying since you left," Mike says practically growling at me, as he walks away.
I look at my mom sadly. "It'll be ok," she says.
Opening the door, Adriana sits up and looks at me, tears streaming down her face. "Your going to reject me, aren't you," she asks.
"No, baby, I'm not, I had to talk to my parents," I reassure her, sitting on the bed.
I pull her into my arms, "I would never reject you," I tell her. She looks up at me, her eyes beaming, "I love you," she says and cuddles into me.
I look at my mom, tears in my eyes. "Mom, I can't, I can't break her heart, I can't tell her, not now," I cry to her through mindlink.
Tears stream from my eyes, at the thought of telling her. I can't tell her personally, I just can't. She hasn't said those three words to me till now.
I look at my mom pleading her. "She has to know, Brian," mom says.
I feel Adriana move and look at my mom, "know what," she asks, looking at me and then to my mom.
"Adriana, honey, Brian's dad and I are best friends with yours," mom says. I feel Adriana tremble in fear.
I wrap my arms around her tighter, holding onto her for dear life. I don't want to let her go, but if she asked I would, but it would break me.
"Adriana, your Dad is due to arrive tomorrow," my mom says, "he wants to talk to Brian about a missing slave," she says.
Adriana wimpers in fear, as her tears soak my shirt. "Baby, it'll be ok, we'll figure something out, we'll hide you or.....or....," I say.
"Brian hiding her isn't going to solve anything," mom says. "I think it'll be best to present her as your mate and Luna, it'll happen anyway, at the Luna ceromony," mom says.
"We'll keep you well protected, tomorrow and you will not by any means, leave Brian's side till your father's gone," mom says.
Adriana, pulls away from me and looks at my mom. My mom smiles, "Brian's Dad was the brawn, I was always the brain's in planning things," mom says.
Adriana smiles, though her tears still run down her face and she's trembling slightly still.
"Let's get you ready for bed, and I'll be here first thing in the morning to help you get ready," mom says.
Adriana smiles and nods her head. "Everything will be fine sweetie," mom says squeezing Adriana's leg lightly and leaves the room.
Adriana and I, lay down for the night, and I refuse to let her go, as I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her close. She just cuddles into me, and relaxes as she falls asleep, in my arms.
