Once they were finished pleasing each other’s bodies, Brodie went out to get supplies and to find Tuck, giving her the chance to call Grant. She had a feeling that Brodie left her alone because he’d known she would want to be to make the call. She did feel more comfortable making this call without an audience, and it had been on the tip of her tongue to say she was going out for a walk to talk to Grant when Brodie said he was leaving.
