Michael was seething.
He was certain that fate was nothing but a cruel, cold b***h with a dark sense of humor.
He knew rushing out of the dining room in such a brutish manner was not the best look for him. But as his patience and self-restraint were slipping away quicker by the second, he had to make a hasty retreat. He didn’t want Evelyn to see that particular side of him.
