LIAM POV:
Hoping into the driver side I close the door and throw the SUV in reverse before glancing at Lacie.
“Where to” I ask with a toothy grin, hoping she can give me the directions to her moms house quickly.
“The faster we meet her the faster we can get home” Dante says, anxiety evident in his tone after the events of this mornings run he’s been on edge.
“Umm so you’ll leave the gate and then take a right onto the second dirt road till you get to my house. It’s like maybe 15 minutes.” Lacie says quietly, she is picking at her nails and her heart rate is elevated. Her anxiety causes me to pause, maybe we should hold off…
