Lost but not forgotten.

Turn of events

I awoke with a pounding headache, my eyes burned leaving streaks of tears down my pale face. I could hear voices in my head, I could barely make out what they were saying. Then out of no where there was a ferocious growl. I jumped and looked all around my bedroom. Where the hell did that come from, another howl let loose this one seemed to be one of joy.

“Hello Jackson, I have been trying to reach you for many years. My name is Teirny and I am the other half to your soul. I am your wolf.”

I whipped my head around and looked into the mirror on my wall. That’s when I saw it, a strange ripple in my storm grey eyes showing a golden hue with crimson swirling inside. I must be going crazy!

Suddenly there was a knock on the door and I squealed like a little girl. Amelia burst in laughing at me “well? Aren’t you going to wish me a happy 18th birthday!!! Jackson oh my god are you okay?” She asked with concern. I had fallen from shock and was sprawled out on my floor. Just then Charles and Beth arrived to wish us both a happy birthday.

I could see the fear in Beth’s eyes as she slowly approached me. “Jackson what’s going on?” Worry etched on her fine features.

“Nothing” I lied.

I can feel the presence of his wolf, I had hoped the binding spell would have been strong enough to hold him back. I was worried his wolf would over power him the moment he broke thru and force him to turn and attack us all.

“I know what happening Jackson, what has he told you?”

“I have no clue what you’re talking about Aunty Beth”

“Jackson she can sense me she knows I am here now, she is worried I will force you to attack them all and kill them” Teirny said casually in my head. I could feel him puff out his chest as he shook his coat and laid down at the back of my mind.

“What’s happening to me? Am I going crazy?” I questioned no one in particular.

“Jackson we need to clear the air here. You are the son of an Alpha and a Priestess in training” Beth blurted out.

“What do you mean?”

“Well your father was the Alpha to the pack In Tofino, Storm Surf. It’s based on Vancouver island but it’s members branch all the way up to Nunavut and are as far this was as Hope.” Beth explained.

“It is our birth right Jackson, we are meant to lead that pack” Teirny informed me.

“And what about my mom? What was she?”

“Your mother was the next in line to become the North American high priestess. That now falls to me if Amelia is not ready when the time comes”

Amelia frowned at her mother “I knew you weren’t fully honest with me about the high priestess thing” she scowled.

“And here I thought I was the normal one in this family! Turns out I am a werewolf” I was slowly accepting this news when Teirny chimed in.

“We are more than that my boy, we are the most powerful hybrid to ever exist. Also the most sought after as well. People will want to exploit our powers”

“What do you mean hybrid?”

“What we never said anything about you being a hybrid” Beth said to quickly.

“Teirny told me what I, sorry we are.”

“Who’s Teirny Jackson?” Charles growing concern was showing.

I could feel myself shift within my mind, Teirny was pushing to come forward. I was unsure of what to do so I let him take over.

Teirny’s POV

“Hello Beth, Charles, and of course my Amelia. I am Teirny, I am Jackson’s wolf. I want to thank you for taking care of him while I was unable to. However there is much we need to discuss”

“What do we need to discuss with you?” Amelia said under her breath. I reach over and gently took her chin in my hand and forced her to look me in the eyes. She gasped when we made eye contact.

“Your eyes! They’re gold with crimson” she said in awe.

“Yes as I said I am Teirny. Jackson and I may share a lot there is still differences between us” I said as I chuckled. “As for what we need to discuss is the coming of your mate.”

“What!” Beth screamed “she cannot be mates to a wolf! It would never work out, she we be put in extreme danger! Wait how do you know?”

“I can sense him lurking around the area, he has caught her scent and will arrive shortly. He means you no harm and will do right by you if you allow him. But if you do not wish to be mates to a wolf say the word and I will challenge him for his title.”

“Title? What do you mean” Amelia questioned.

“He is the Alpha to be to the pack here in Airdrie” I explained.

Beth interrupted, “how do you know all this Teirny?”

“It’s one of our abilities as such a powerful hybrid.”

I sniffed the air a low growl escaping my lips “he’s here, do you want to meet him Amelia?” I asked

“Umm,” she turned to look at her parents “I guess it couldn’t hurt”

I opened the door before he could knock.

“Jackson?” Fear began to seep from his pores his wolf was growing restless for he knew what was in front of him.

“Miguel, so nice to see you. What is it I can help you with?” I knew why he was here I just wanted to give him a hard time.
