Meeting the parents.

Amelia

When I kissed Miguel it felt like I was hit by lightening. It was the most wonderful feeling in the world, it felt right.

I whispered “I accept” breathlessly.

I then took his hand and guided him into the kitchen to officially meet my mom and dad. I could feel the tingling where our hands connected. I could see Teirny was still in control of Jackson, he seemed a little tense as though he was ready to attack if the situation arose.

“Mom, dad I would like to officially introduce you to Miguel. We go to school together and I guess as discussed earlier I am his mate. Miguel this is my dad Charles and my mom Beth”

“Good to meet you young man” dad said sternly. “I feel confident in saying you will treat her right? Otherwise not only will Teirny have a piece of you but I shall to! She is my baby girl and you will respect her.”

“Yes sir!” Miguel replied.

Just then mom came over and offered us some lemon-aid. “It’s nice to meet you Miguel.”

While they were talking I couldn’t help but admire how handsome he was. He was about 6’1” with broad shoulders. His brown hair is cut short on the sides and a little longer on the top. His eyes were a toasty topaz, looking at them now I know I could get lost in them forever. He felt like home, like I would be safe and protected in his arms. As I was staring at him I felt a sudden prod in my brain.

“So you’re quite smitten aren’t you?” I heard Jackson say in my mind.

“holy crap! How is this possible?” I question him with wide eyes.

“Teirny taught me a few tricks, apparently we are strong enough to able to communicate with who ever we want.”

“wow! This is so cool, and to answer your question yes im smitten” I replied.

Just then the atmosphere changed and an icy chill took over the room. I could see Jackson was back in control as his eye had changed. His back had gone ridged, a low growl came from Miguel and my parents took a defensive stance beside me. Just then a blinding white light hit me. I could feel myself lose consciousness as a darkness over took me. Though I didn’t feel threatened I did feel utterly alone in this darkness.

Jackson

Teirny had given me back control while I was mind linking with Amelia. She’s adorable admiring her mate. I felt a sudden shift in the air and Teirny told me I needed to be alert as something was about to happen. I scented the air and I could smell something similar to the way Miguel smelled.

‘Are you expecting anyone Miguel?” I questioned.

“Expecting someone? I don’t live here why would I invite someone over?’ Miguel responded as he became more alert to the situation.

Just then there was a bright flash of light, I could see it hit Amelia. As I was shifting to the back of my mind I could see Miguel catch Amelia before she hit the ground. Teirny took over and when he raised his hands a large golden aura appeared protecting everyone.

The door smashed open and there were three figures, two women and a man. I could tell that it was the Alpha and Luna, but the third woman was older, perhaps beyond what she appeared.

“Who would dare attack my home and family” Teirny growled out in a commanding tone. I could see everyone in the house bow their heads and bare their necks to me.

“Who do you think you are!” Yelled the man “my son is of alpha blood, he submits to no one!”

I could see the fear in Miguel’s eyes afraid I may kill his father, though now that I knew who was at my door I was more amused than anything to see how Miguel would handle this situation.

Miguel

After I gently placed Amelia on the floor I stood baring my neck to Jackson. His alpha power demanded respect and here is my father disrespecting him in his home.

‘Jackson, please excuse my fathers disrespect’ i glanced up to see the amusement in his eyes.

‘Mom, dad what are you doing here?’ I questioned my parents.

‘It’s your birthday and when we came to see you you were no where to be found. I alerted the alpha and he grabbed Margaret. I thought you had been taken!” My mother replied flustered. ‘I followed your scent here and when we got to the front door it didn’t smell right, so I panicked and Margaret cast a spell.”

‘I can see that mom, but you’ve attacked my mate and her family!’ I growled out.

‘Oh no no no no! Oh god! I’m so sorry, please we only wanted to protect our son.’ Mom gasped out ‘Margaret release the spell immediately!”

With a delighted smile and a wink of her eye the spell was broken.

Amelia

I felt the pressure lift, finally being able to open my eyes after what felt like a week. After my vision focused I could see three intruders and quickly cast a binding spell raising all three into the air. I stepped forward ‘who are you and what do you want?” I demanded.

Just then I felt the tingles running up my arm and could hear Miguel clear his throat.

"Alpha Ben, Luna Jewel, aunt Margaret this is my mate Amelia, Amelia meet my parents.’

I could tell he was embarrassed and quickly broke my spell.

Stepping forward I shake their hands ‘pleasure to meet you both sorry about that.” I say shyly.

‘No my dear girl the pleasure is all ours’ Luna Jewel smiles ‘I just glad my son has found such a strong and capable mate. You will make and excellent Luna.’

‘Alpha, Luna these are my parents Charles and Beth. And that is Jackson’ I say pointing to each of them. Luna Jewel didn’t seem to be affected by Jackson but I could tell the alpha didn’t like the power Jackson had.
