The Wolf Within

After leaving Harley with his family, I know he thinks they are not. But I could feel the love for them radiating off of him along with the worry and the need to help when he found out, only he could, He didn’t hesitate not even for a second. I didn’t stay, as that is not my place that is a family affair they don't need an outside intruding on a sensitive issue and the moment, they needed time to re-bond and I wasn’t about to stand in the way.

I went back to the boiler room to wait for Diamond, the more I stood there looking at this woman the angrier I got. I wanted to cause her pain not because I enjoyed it, ok well maybe a little bit, but a woman as vile as she was, I mean I know I am a killer, but I only deal with those who can't be touched otherwise, but this woman, this woman kills her own mate, uses non-existent children to try to save herself after she killed innocent people, children included and goddess only knows how many others, I Don’t even want to think about the deaths that could have happened had Diamond not came when she did. Rage started to build up I wanted this b***h to suffer. I walked up to her as she slept “Kayleigh, I want to make this b***h suffer for what she did, but I don’t want to hurt you in the process.” the next thing I know there is a pair of bright glowing blue eyes looking at me, “please don’t let that stop you, make this b***h scream.” she said in a seething voice “I would do it myself but I can not, the only thing I can do is tear her apart her mind, her death sadly I can not bring.” I looked at her not surprised by her response I am sure she had suffered so much being with this human, sadly the wolf doesn't choose it's human and can not leave them, only through the wolf or humans death could they be separated. That was until Diamond got tired of the wolves dying because of their asshat of a human counter part and came up with a spell to release the wolf from its prison.

I looked at her with sadness “I can not do that to you, you have been through too much as it is. What I want to do to her will cause you to die, I can tell you're weakened by her enough already. I will admit I do enjoy making the scum of the earth scream in pain from my torture, but not an innocent life. I can’t do it. I do have a heart you know.” I looked at her for a few more moments before I said my next words. “Kayleigh, you deserve respect, love and a life free from pain and torment. If I could give you a human body when Diamond free’s you, I would but I can only offer you a life as a wolf. But at least you will be free and will have a life of happiness.” a tear slid down her humans’ cheek as she sniffled slightly. “Shadow, thank you so much for those words, I have never been spoken to with so much respect and kindness as you have in the short time I have known you. If I do die this day I wanted to say thank you,” she said with a smile

Just then Diamond popped in, she walked over to us looking at Kayleigh. “Before I start, I want to know, is this something you truly want? As I am not in the habit of forcing something upon someone, unlike someone I know,” she said looking in my direction. “Hey! I only force those who are s**t, and you know it.” I said in a matter of fact tone, Diamond smiled at me as she nodded "I know, but hey someone has to give you s**t one in a while." She then turned her attention back to Kayleigh, “So, is this what you want? As once it's done there is no reversing it and no way aside from the moon goddess herself to pair you with another human.” Kayleigh looked up at her with hope in her eyes “you mean this is real? It's really possible to be set free from this?” Diamond smiled “It is now, I just perfected this spell, I can now safely remove any wolf from any human. But... There is one small issue, when I remove you, you will be in the same state you are in now inside that human, if you are weak you will be outside as well, it will take time to regain your strength, so if there is anything you plan to do when I release you, it will not be possible, you will more than likely pass out for at least a week maybe longer.” Kayleigh nodded her head in understanding. Than looked to me “Promise me, promise me that once I am out, you will make this b***h pay for what she has done to me and my mate.” she asked with pleading eyes I smiled at her as a confirmation that I would be very happy to make this thing pay for every wrong doing she had ever done to the point, she would remember it in her next life, so maybe she would be a decent human than. “Before you do this I want to say something, because you have shown me great kindness and respect as a thank you, I vow my life to you, I will forever be by your side, you have my loyalty Shadow I am telling you this now as once I leave this body I will not be able to communicate with you as I am now.” I nod at her and step back.

“Are you ready love?” Diamond asked her as she put up her hands, but before she could answer the b***h took control. “YOU ARE NOT TAKING MY WOLF! I WILL KILL HER BEFORE THAT HAPPENS!!!” she screamed out. Diamond laughed “Like you have a choice?” with that said, she started to chant with each word spoken, she started to shake violently the poles in her joints ripping through the muscles and bone, blood flowing freely like a faucet was turned on. She screamed so loud, even I had to cover my ears and turn away. After a few seconds that seemed like hours Diamond stopped and tapped my shoulder, the screams stopped and there on the floor was the most beautiful wolf I had seen, or well would have been if she was in her prime, healthy and fit, but no This beautiful animal was lying on the floor emaciated. Her white and gold fur matted and dirty I about cried from the anger I was now feeling seeing this poor girl in this shape. I picked her up from the floor and blinked to my apartment setting her in my bed and covering her up with a blanket to keep her warm. I didn’t want to leave her I wanted to stay with her to keep an eye on her to make sure she was truly ok.

Before I had a chance to blink back to the boiler there was a knock at my door, I ran to open it thinking it was Harley, as soon as the door swung open I took my defensive stance there in front of me where 6 people, shock hit my face as soon as I noticed one in particular, “Evan?” he looked at me as the same shock hit his face seeing me. “What the hell are you doing here?” I yelled, “Who are you all and what do you want?” I asked the rest just staring at me. A tall woman with raven black hair streaked with a vivid purple stripe stepped up, her cat-like eyes were like a frozen pond of light blue, but frozen I mean they looked like shattered Ice creepy but oh so cool. “We” she says as she puts a hand up circiring with her finger indicateding the rest. "were sent by Collen we are your back up.” she said in a matter of fact tone. I dropped my defense and stepped back, motioning them all to come in. “I wish I could stay, but I have something to take care of, but before I go, please call Collen and tell him to send a vet.” the same woman looked at me with confusion as she said “I am a healer/doctor or I was at one point what do you need with an animal doctor?” I showed her to my bedroom where Kayleigh was sleeping, her eyes about popped out of her head as soon as she saw her lying there, her hands went to her mouth “oh my god? What happened to her?” I looked away from Kayleigh to look at the woman, this is Kayleigh she was just removed from her Human host, I will explain later, but please help her as much as you can.” with that said I blinked back to the boiler room.

When I got there Diamond was showing a side of her I had never seen she was as ruthless as I was, if not more, when I looked at the piece of s**t hanging from the wall, she had no skin left at all, it laid under her on the floor in heaps blood dripping from the exposed mussels, her tongue hanging out of her mouth, some teeth were missing as I moved my eyes around taking in the sight I noticed her intestine was being pulled out from a small hole where her belly button used to be. Diamond on the other end slowly pulling them out. “What are you doing?” I shout she looked at me with a smile, “ why should you get all the fun? Besides Kayleigh asked for her to suffer, well. The b***h is suffering.” I won't lie, I was disappointed because I wanted to torture her but Diamond did it all. “Well, you might as well stop. She is dead now.” I said as I formed a blue fireball in my hand as I tipped my hand the fire gained a life of its own forming into a snake as it made its way to the bloody mess on the floor burning everything turning it to ash, as it got to the body of the dead woman, it opened up swallowing her from toe to head ashes flowing to the ground as she was devoured by the flames, once she was gone so was the flame Diamond then clapped her hands and pushed them forward removing all trace that was left behind.

“Well, that was fun.” Diamond said as she hopped on balls her feet in complete glee, I couldn’t help but laugh I had never seen anything like it. “What?” she asked as she looked at me confused. “You are just full of surprises aren’t you?” I laughed out. “Well, I couldn’t help it seeing that poor girl once she was out, really pissed me off. I have freed so many wolves with this spell never had I seen a sight like that, even the ones who didn’t make it, looked better than she did. I don’t know how she lived. There is no way that, that wolf, is an Omega not a chance in hell. Which makes me wonder what she really is.”

I looked at her with a thoughtful look as now she has me wondering, “Well, there is no way to know now, we can't communicate with her to get answers.”

“Or do we?” she asked "I made the spell that freed her I am sure I am more than capable to make a spell that will allow her to speak as well. I’ll be back” she said before she poofed. I just shook my head and blinked back to my apartment.

With everything going on I lost track of the time and I won't lie, I am so exhausted but I need to get s**t done maybe I will get in a nap before the meeting. But for now. I must get them busy, but first things first. I need to check on Kayleigh, I walked into the bedroom, she was still sleeping, but the new sight caught me off guard, there was an IV hanging from a stand, wires coming off of her attached to monitors, my sight froze as I noticed a tube going into her nose with some pasty looking crap inside the tube. “What is that?” the woman looked at me “that is a feeding tube she needs nutrients if she is to survive.” I nodded, not taking my eyes off Kayleigh. As I thought to myself, she is a fighter she will live.

“I am Lita by the way, sorry I was not able to introduce myself earlier.”

“I’m Kkul, I am Mai”

“Mai like the ancient cat people?” I asked in amazement, Mai’s are rare only a few left in the world they are legendary fighters, but the women are so beautiful that human men started to track them down, killing the men so they could take them, using them for their s*x trades or as prized wives, it got so bad that their people started to either kill the girls as babies or would lock them up, the way they saw it, their race was dead either way, this was the only way they could ensure their survival a little longer.

“Yes, is that an issue?” she asked with curiosity and a slight attitude.

“Not a bit, I am honored to be able to work with you,” I said with a smile.

She frowned and continued what she was doing. Which was monitoring Kayleigh, she then looked at me and asked with an accusing tone, anger written all over her face.

“How could you let this happen? You should be ashamed of yourself, If this is how you treat an animal I would hate to see how you treat those around you!”

I couldn’t help but be pissed off, I was so pissed that my power leaked out causing her to stumble to her knees.

“I DIDN'T DO THIS! I TOLD YOU, SHE IS A FREED WOLF FROM A HUMAN HOST!” I screamed at her, not holding back, how dare she accuse me of such a heinous thing.

“That is impossible, there is no way to remove a wolf from their host, they are bound by a single soul, I am not stupid Lita, So knowing that is impossible it only means you did this to this poor animal. You made her almost die what kind of f****d-up person could treat an animal this way, it makes me wonder how children would be if left in your care.” she gritted out between clenched teeth still on the floor. I grabbed her by the neck, slamming her to the wall so hard her body went through the first layer of sheetrock.

“How dare you say such things, you don’t even know anything about me! And just to inform you until today you are right, it was impossible, but when you have a very powerful witch with a determined mind nothing is impossible. Now start getting ready to move her, we are leaving soon.” I let go of her, letting her fall to the floor gasping for air, turning to walk out, but I stopped and turned back facing her.

“If you ever speak to me like that again, I won't hesitate to kill you. Oh, and If you hurt her at all during this move I will kill you.” venom in my words as I turned to leave again but I heard her whisper.

“What are you?”

“I am something you don’t want to piss off, and something you will never know unless it's too late,” I said as I walked out closing the door. When I entered the living room all eyes hit the floor, not one person looked at me. “At least they know their place,” Zin-sue said I smiled inwardly to her and mentally nodded.

I cleared my throat getting their attention, they all looked up at me, fear written all over their faces, no doubt they felt the power from the other room. “We are moving location, I want 2 of you out and shopping for furniture, 2 of you shopping for food and supplies, the rest I want you to head there now and set up a perimeter and security. I gave them all the new address. Later we will all sit down and introduce ourselves, but for now, get this done. I will pack up this place. Evan, go get a moving truck and boxes, make it fast.” I bit out.

After a few hours, everything was done and was on its way to the new house, I look at my watch and see it's time to meet the king and queen and fill them in and get the whole family moved in. I am not sure how well this will go, but If I were in their shoes I know I am up for a fight.
