Love and Treachery

I am not sure how long we stayed like that. Time just seemed to stop as he stayed like that in my arms, he finally moved. I thought he was going to get up, but to my surprise, he effortlessly picked me up from the floor and placed me on his lap, straddling him, then he once again wrapped his arms around me, looked into my eyes, searching for something till he brought me into a kiss that literally knocked the breath out of me, a new feeling started to fill me from deep within a feeling I never noticed till this moment, I felt like a missing piece had just been placed, a piece I wasn't aware had even been missing till this moment. My heart rate spiked as another feeling I had not felt in years no matter what situation I was in, no matter how close to death. I got a feeling I worked my entire life to never feel again since the first time it reared its ugly head, Fear.

I have never in my entire life felt the way I did in his arms, and let me tell you I have been on this earth for 500 years. Never have I felt the warmth of love, security, serenity, like I belonged to some place till now, and all those feelings scared the hell out of me. I have lived my life in solitude, going where I was needed, ridding the world of the worst of the worst. I found myself in situations that have brought men to their knees in fear and yet I never was. I had been shot, stabbed, there was a time where I almost lost a few limbs, another when I was close to having my heart ripped out, not once was I scared. Never has fear run through my body till this moment, and what scared me the most is that I wanted it, I wanted to stay like this forever, safe in his embrace that I wanted to melt into his touch and let him do anything and everything he wanted to me. It was then I jumped out of his arms like a cat that had just had someone yank hard on their tail. I jumped about 5 feet away from him, landing in a crouching stance, as I looked at him.

It was this exact moment I lost control of my fox, for once she took over, showing herself to him standing proud and unafraid, her 9 tails flowing freely behind her as they formed a fan behind her. Each one had a different colored tip of her silver fur, representing a power I had gained throughout the years as I Aged Green=power of plants, Gold=life (not the power to resurrect but to heal.) blue= power of water, Orange =power of fire, Greyr= power of metal, Brown= power of earth and wood, black= the power of shadow, white= power of air, Black = power of the void(this allows me to blink, a form of teleportation) her silver coat shining in the light as she stared her Violet eyes deep into his Jade ones. This was also the first that she had spoken to me. Hell, I didn’t even know I could turn into a Fox. I only knew of the Aura of power that took the shape of her when in need. All this is a first for me.

I was yanked from my thought of what the f**k is going on? With Harley's voice of awe “What are you? I have never seen such a stunning and breathtaking creature.” he started to move forward as my fox did the same. I sense that she is very happy to see him and yet I am confused. We have been near each other for a few weeks. Why is this happening now of all times?

“Lita, I am Zin-sue, your true form. I will answer your questions as I answer his. I am giving you control so I can speak through you.” As soon as she finishes, she gives Harley a look that made him go get the blanket from my bed and places it over me gently.

I started to stand, turning into human form as I wrapped the blanket around me. My mouth opens but it's not my voice speaking.

“Harley, I am so happy to have finally found you. I have lived for 500 years searching, but never had I sensed another till now. I am the very last Kitsune born on earth along with its powers. Your father's side is the last blood descent of the Kitsune I thought to have been wiped out long ago. But here you stand, you are the one and only true half of Lita. I know you are both confused as to what is happening, Harley, you were aware that Lita was your mate, but felt rejected because she could not acknowledge it. As our bonding grew, I was finally able to awaken. The kiss you just shared was enough to fully awaken me. Our kind, though born with another half, must be a strong bond before we are aware of your presence. The Kitsune, though another child of the moon goddess, saw her error when she created the mate bond, forcing the two together never worked out. It always ended in either rejection, death, or abuse, as not all pairs she created were compatible. When and only when two people share an equal love will our mates be completed. Please don’t blame Lita for being the last of us. There is a lot she does not know about herself, our history, nothing, it is all new to her with nowhere to get answers. She is feeling emotions she has not felt in a long time, so please give her some time to come to terms with everything.”

“What is your name?” he asks as he stands motionless, staring into my eyes.

“Oh, how silly of me, ” she laughs “I am Zin-sue,” she says with a loving smile, then continues to say “If you have any questions, now is the time. But make it fast as there is not much time.”

He looked into my eyes, deep in thought as he thought of his first question. I watch him in anticipation as his face drops from awe to sadness, “ So, Lita can reject me?”

I walked over to him, placing my hand on his cheek. As I spoke, I heard my own voice. I am guessing Zin-Sue felt it important he heard my answer from me, not her. I smiled as I looked him in the eyes. “Harley, now that I met you, and have fallen for you, I can tell you there is no way I would ever reject you, you are now and forever engraved in my heart and soul. Nothing will ever change that. You are mine as I am yours.”

Wrapping his arms around my waist, he hugged me, placing his face in the crook of my neck, taking in a deep breath, “Are you hiding your scent or do you just not have one? I am asking because Gunner, my wolf, is begging for his mates' scent.”. Just like that, I release my scent. I watch him closely as he closes his eyes, taking in a deep breath. As soon as his eyes open, they are no longer the soft Jade I am used to, his eyes are two-toned, as if the Iris was split in half vertically, half violet and half jade. I gasped with shock as his eyes trapped mine, making it seem as if nothing else mattered, but this moment, the spell was broken as he says in a deep husky voice that must be Gunners, “Mine!” he says with love and respect laced in his tone. I couldn't help but smile as I embraced him again. He took this moment to hold me even tighter as if he was scared I was going to leave, then brought his lips to mine, licking my lower lip with his tongue softly, then kissing my cheek. I couldn’t help but let out a little giggle at how soft and sweet his wolf was, not forceful and dominant like I hear all wolves are and being of Alpha blood it should be more apparent, but he isn’t and with his actions, I fell harder for him, making the current going through us with his touch more intense.

When I opened my mouth to tell him we still had work to do, like our little friend in the broiler room, but that is not what came out when I spoke, “Mark me” came out. Instead, as soon as those words left my mouth, I saw his k-9’s extending leaning forward just as he got to the crook of my neck. I felt my k-9s extended as well. We both grazed our teeth into each others skin sending more intensified shocks and shivers through us with this feeling flowing freely between us. We both bit down marking each other, blue flames wrapped around us and, soon absorbed into Harley, we both moved away from each other confused, then Zin-sue’s voice came as if answering an unasked question.

“Since you are now marked, buy me, us I mean, your Kitsune blood has been awakened. Though you are fully a wolf, you now have a Kitsune ability, though I do not know what it is, it will work to not only help you and your pack but your newly found mate. It will be known when you need it. But until then I am sorry to say that I do not know what it is. As I do not know the kind of Kitsune that your family is descendants of. I can only sense that our blood is a part of you.” after she said that, she went back deep into my mind. Making this moment between Harley and me kind of awkward. I took this moment to ask him “Umm, are you hungry? I could make something before we go,” I said. He looked at me in confusion as he asked “ Where are we going?” I smiled as I headed to the kitchen grabbing the things for sandwiches. “Did you forget already?” I asked in a teasing tone, he tilted his head to the right as he was thinking. But even more confused, when his eyes switched to his wolves and they started to darken, I knew he just remembered our little friend. “I mean, I can just go and deal with it if you don’t want to.” I asked with a smile on my face, “No, I want to be there,” he said in a rushed cold tone I nodded “ok, well let's eat first we will need our strength for what is to come.

After eating, I held onto Harley, “I am not sure how this will affect you, so brace yourself, OK,” I warned him before blinking us both into the broiler room, the best way not to be seen going there by nosy people and less of a chance to be interrupted. As soon as we entered the room, Harley let loose his stomach. content in a nearby corner, “ Sorry,” I said feeling horrible about making him feel ill, “Nah, I am ok, it was just unexpected.” he said walking over to me, placing his hand on my cheek as he looks around instantly washing my guilt away. “I hate to tell you this, but I think our friend ran away.” I laughed at his comment before walking to the heavy tarp laying on the floor ripping it off her, “If only that was possible, isn’t that right puppet? Oh, how you wished to be anywhere but here.” I looked down at her with a grin, the fear in her eyes turned my grin into a smile. Harley walked over to her looking down at her, “What did you do to her?” he asked with pure curiosity “I severed her spinal cords, making her fully paralyzed, then I melted her vocal cords so she couldn't even make a little peep, not even a mouse could be quieter.” I told him with pride in my voice he looks up from her to me with surprise written all over his face as he says “Remind me never to piss you off.” I laughed as I said “Oh honey if you only knew. You are about to see why I am the best at what we do.” after that, all the warmth left and was taken over by the cold sick killer I am, Looking around I found some broken pipes so I picked them up asking Harley to hold up the woman to the wall, making a note to do something special for Harley when this is over, Damn feelings I can't help but feel bad for having him help me without knowing what he is in store for.

After he picks her up, pinning her to the wall, I take the pipes, driving them through both shoulders and knees deep into the wall behind her and bending them so she can wiggle off. I know, I know it is pointless if she is paralyzed, but what fun would it be to torture someone if they can't feel it? Once that is done, I tap into my void power, creating a soundless barrier, then I put my hand behind her neck and heal what I did to her spine, returning all the feelings. We watched as she opened her mouth in a soundless scream from the pipes that had been driven through her body. I couldn't help but smile. Stepping up to her once again, I placed my hand on her throat, healing her vocal cords. The room itself was bathed in her ear-piercing screams that no one outside this room could hear. I asked her if she had mind-linked her pack. She screamed out "NO!" but I am not foolish, I know she was, so I stuck up my pointer finger, my nail extending into a needle-sharp point. Walking over to her, I push that nail into the part of the brain that makes a wolf mind-link possible, yes, I have studied all my targets and anatomy to go with them, making my job oh so much easier and fun. I could tell she was speaking to someone as my nail entered, radiating enough heat to my nail. I fried that part of the brain, severing the link permanently. I stepped back, looking at her tear-soaked face. “That sweetheart, is lie number 1, you get 2 more, then things will just get worse for you.” I told her with a sickly sweet smile, adorning my face. I turned to look at a stunned Harley, “Are you sure you want to be here for this?” I asked him with concern, my smile taken away by the fear in his eyes. Normally, fear makes me warm and mushy inside, but not from him. Fear from him was like having a huge bucket of ice water dumped on you after being in the heat of 109 for an hour. It shocks your systems and not in a good way. “ I am sorry Harley, this is who I am. This is what I do. If you can't handle it, I understand and you are more than welcome to leave so I can continue. He just stands there, arms crossed over his chest, legs spread slightly, he looks at me for a moment. His expression doesn't change, but he moves over to the wall beside me and leans against it with his arms still crossed.

Shaking my head, I turned back to my fun time, needing so desperately to rid my head of the thoughts of Harley leaving me after this. I will deal with it then, but now I need answers. People's lives are at risk and if it means a life without Harley to save them, then so be it. I can feel Zin-sue in my head, angered by my thoughts. I shrug it off and get to work.

“Who sent you to the palace?”

“My fairy godmother, she even gave me this beautiful gown you ruined, she grunted out through the pain. A smile crept up her face. I guess she thought she was funny.

“OK, Cinderella, here, let me help you out of that ruined dress,” I said with a smirk as I took a knife from my back pocket, opening it, showing it was a very sharp blade. Her eyes widened as I stepped up to her. I cut off the top layer of clothes, leaving her in her undergarments. I mean, who really needs to see that? Then I slowly started to peel away her skin inch by inch, a patch here and a patch there on her arms, stomach, and legs, her screams were music to my ear. Making my way around, I finally noticed she was marked. Hmm, I thought to myself. This I will save for later.

“That, my dear, was lie number 2, 1 more than the real fun will begin.”

Tears were flowing down her face, “You're a sick bitch.” she cried out.

“I am a means to an end. I do what is needed to get the job done. Right now my job is to get answers to my questions that you are the key to getting. It is you who chooses to keep it locked up. Now. Let's try again, shall we? WHO SENT YOU TO THE PALACE?”

“I’m not giving you s**t!” she bit out through her cries

You are tough. I will give you that, but you finally gave a truthful answer, so for that I will reward you. I dug my nails into the bloody area where her muscles were revealed on her stomach, driving them deep.

“AAAHHH, You b***h” She screamed out.”

“Tell me what I want to know and I will release you back to your Mate. I am sure he misses you dearly.”

“f**k you, I have no Mate, she breathed out heavily.”

“ Oh, OK ,then, I guess you won't need this then,” I said, pointing at her mark,

“By the way, that was lie number 3.” I walked over to her, placing the palm of my hand over her mark. She looked at me like I was stupid for thinking I could remove it, but little does she know I could, my hand started to glow with a silver flame burning her mark away, removing the bond and killing her mate.

Hopefully she didn’t have young children. If so, they too would die. Losing the bond of both parents at a very young age is deadly. Several pups have died this way as they cannot live without their parents as they share the same bond with their children as they do with their mate. The reason for this is, as each pup is conceived, a piece of both parents' souls is given to the unborn child. So long as they live, they share one soul till the day they turn 16, getting their own soul that comes with their own wolf. So, if the parents both die, the stronger parts of the souls all go with them. There have been reports of children without both parents. Although no one knows how this is possible, we assume they are meant for great things, so the moon goddess herself saved them, making them not only special but protected as well.

Her eyes widen as a new pain rips through her body, the death of her mate and the soul within her ripping apart.

“NOOOO, my kids, she screamed out.”

“ I warned you not to lie, but there is still a chance for you to make it out of this alive, so your children can live. What will it be?”

“Fine! I will tell you everything, but please my children.”

“Start talking, if I like your answers, you will be healed and sent to your children - but- if you lie, your deceit will be known. I do not need you to tell me what I want to know, I like to give chances, otherwise you would be dead now.”

“Matthew, he promised us a better life if we helped him, more power with a better status as well as protection. All we had to do was slip something into the food, that was it, but when the screaming started, we went to see what was going on, we lost sense of what we were doing. Our carelessness is what allowed us to get trapped.”

“So it was Matthew, not some rebellion against the royal family?”

“You're not from around here, are you? If you were, you would know there is no such rebellion. Everyone loves that family, they are loving, kind to everyone. Everyone is treated the same.”

I had to laugh at that. “If you are so loyal, why did you betray them so easily? Over things, the king himself probably would have given you, had you asked.”

“There is more to this than she is saying” Harley’s voice entered my mind. I looked over to him and nodded, “I agree something isn’t right. She is hiding something, though what she said is partly true.” I responded through our link. I thought for a moment, then Zin-sue spoke up, “talk to her wolf, I feel that they are not close anymore. I can feel her slowly going. Their bond is broken,” She informs me. Good Idea Zin-sue I will do just that.

“What is your wolf's name?” I asked in a demanding tone. She giggled for a moment through labored breaths before answering me, “Her name is Kayleigh” she almost whispered, hurt clear in her eyes “but if you intend on talking to her good luck, she hasn’t made a sound in a month.” she added with a distant tone.

I looked over at Harley who was still watching, the fear in his eyes no longer present, “Harley, I will need you for this one, since you are Alpha blood if she doesn't come to me, I need you to use your Alpha tone on her.”He nodded as he walked back over to me. standing by my side, just before I called her I dug my nails back into her spine, to cut all pain receptors for this she needed to be paralyzed again, I didn’t want the wolf in pain I was out for her human side the wolf had nothing to do with tonight. what the woman was saying was not the wolfs’ fault its not her fault she got stuck with this b***h. “Kayleigh, I would like to speak to you about you're human, please come forward so we may speak.” I waited for a few minutes. When she made herself known, you could see the glowing golden eyes, as a whimper left her lips. I felt bad thinking she could still feel the pain, “I am sorry if you are still feeling the pain from what I did to your human. I tried to block it for you.” she looked at me as a single tear fell from her eye. “ I am not sad because of that, I miss my mate. He was my everything, and this b***h killed him,” she spat out with venom. “No, I am sorry, but that was me, I destroyed the mark. I am sorry, but I needed information. It was the only thing I could do to get it. I will let your pups live. I don't take the lives of children, though it means I will have to let her live as well.” she let out a loud growl before she answered.

“PUP’S?? I have no pups. This b***h killed our mate a month ago when she met that, that bastard!” I looked at her with shock. “ So you have no pups? She lied to me yet again? Why could I not sense it? And to what bastard are you referring to?” she laughed before answering, “This human, met a man claiming to be the Rogue King, claimed he had loved her for so long, but at the time, was nothing, and had nothing to offer her, so he never made himself known. But now that he was a king, he came to claim her, to make her his queen. They would have a family; 5 pups he promised her. All she had to do, to claim her right, was to kill our mate and poison the royals so they could rule the earth together. I tried to tell her he was lying, he planned on killing us once it was done. I begged her not to kill our mate, he had been made for us, he was our happiness, our home. She laughed at me, said she wished she had never been stuck with such a weak wolf and locked me in the mind's cage so I couldn’t tell my mate what she was planning. As soon as he was dead she unlocked it, showing me my Mate decapitated. She ripped his head off as he slept, the cowardly, treacherous b***h. I hope you f*****g kill her! I know I will die with her, but I don’t care so long as she dies a slow painful horrific death for what she did.. All those people, our mate, they deserve justice.” I looked at her, as tears flowed freely down her face because of her loss. I could tell she also blamed herself for not being able to stop this. "What if I could set you free? If there was a way for me to pull you out of your human form, you would be a full-bodied wolf free to do as you please.” she looked at me shocked, “there is no such way, and if there were I would owe my life to you, I would do anything for you and anything you would ask. Till the day I die, but I know it is not possible. I accept my fate.”

“We will be right back. For now, take your time thinking about all the ways you would kill your human if you could.” I looked over to Harley who nodded. I put my hand on his shoulder and blinked us back to my apartment. He did better with it. This time he only staggered a little, but he was fine once he sat down. I went and got him a bottle of water before picking up my phone. “Is it possible?” Harley asked. I nodded to him, “I know a very powerful witch who is very talented at making her own spells and curses.” I answered as I waited for Collen to answer.

“Collen, could you please have Diamond here soon?”

“She is still in the palace, helping the queen. The poison had affected her unborn child. It's not looking good.”

My heart dropped, the poor woman had never done anything but love and care for anyone. To have this happen was unforgivable. “Send Harley to her, he can help.” Zin-sue sounded off in my head. I looked over to Harley. “ How are you feeling?” I asked him as I put my hand on his shoulder, “It's getting better, it's nothing like the feeling I got the first time. The more it happens, I think I will get used to it and not be affected.” I gave him a sad smile as I informed him of what was going on, and that Zin-sue said he could help. He jumped off the chair as he grabbed ahold of me, bring me to her, please, he half begged. I could see how much she meant to him, so I blinked him to the infirmary hallway that was empty at that moment. We started walking to the desk when Teala came out of the room with tears in her eyes. Harley ran up to her, asking where his Queen was. She nodded towards the door she had just come out of. Harley didn't waste a minute as he rushed into the room, all eyes on him. He opened the link between us, asking what to do? Zin-sue simply said “Touch her tummy of course.” in a, duh tone.
