I can’t believe I agreed to a shopping trip with a stranger and one meant to be my mortal enemy, no less. I should despise everything about Ezra, but the crazy thing is, I like him. I don’t understand the whole thing about paladins and their significance, or why it is so crucial for him to make Lena his. I was a little surprised when he offered to take me shopping so soon, given our conversation. I didn’t agree to give him much more than I needed to plan my escape. His willingness to take me outside of the house, around other people, made me think that I may find an opportunity to escape earlier without the help of my wolf. Or at least it was a thought until I was presented with a pair of stilettos as my footwear. I can’t hardly walk in the damn things, never mind trying to run in them.
