Su Yan opened her mobile banking app, strategizing how to budget her money. The most important thing is to stock up on food; everything else, she has lived without but the lack of food had made her incapacitated at times. Fighting hunger was another battle entirely when fighting zombies bursting with energy upon smelling fresh meat. Su Yan sighed in her heart. It was good to be frugal. While the 30 million in her bank was enough to supply her immediate needs; it seemed insignificant compared to the long years of apocalypse ahead. She spent ten long years surviving the apocalypse yet she saw no end in sight. By that time, even the plants have mutated. Searching the internet for nearby warehouses to temporarily store her supplies. After talking with the boss and settling on a six month lease; Su Yan finally started her online shopping. First, she bought self heating instant rice. Only seven flavors were available, spicy beef, tomato beef, beef tripe, shredded pork, braised pork, sichuan sausage, beef curry etc. Su Yan bought 10 boxes each, totalling into 200 copies of every flavor. Then she bought instant noodles. During the extreme cold, these were hard currency. Drinking it could increase vitality, and raise people's spirits. It was easy to store and eat, just melt snow into a pot and drink directly. In normal times, it would be unhygienic to do so, but in order to survive, normal people had no choice but endure a little bit. Without looking, she directly bought 100 copies of ten flavors. Then canned meat, she bought pork, chicken and beef kinds. 50 normal flavors, and 60 of the spicy kind. She directly bought 100 pieces of spam. Su Yan then ventured into available oils in the online app, buying 50 cans of olive oil, rapeseed oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, virgin olive oil. For condiments, she bought 200 kilos of salt and sugar. She also bought 50 kilograms of pepper, chilli pepper, cinnamon, onion, garlic, five spice etc. She also checked out 200 different flavors of hot pot bases. Su Yan then bought ten copies of 20 kilos brown rice, white rice, purple rice. As for vegetables, she could not store them; so she instead bought 100 kg of dried vegetables, and 100 for fruits. As for snacks, Su Yan bought 200 copies of compressed biscuits, 100 chips, 100 chocolates, 100 soda, 100 instant coffee, and 500 bottles of 1L water. Su Yan bought 1,600 self heating instant rice. 1000 packets of noodles. 430 cans of canned meat. 250 cans of 1L oil, many spices, and 200 hot pot bases. Then she stocked up on 600 kilograms of rice, 100 kg of dried vegetables and fruits. It still seemed lacking, so when she addressed the instant needs, she moved on to another category. For menstrual pads, she bought 200 boxes, which were indespensible. She bought gauze, band-aids, anti-septic alcohol, some common medications, gloves, masks, battery, flashlight, self heating pad, warmers and sterilized bag. Everything that she could use for atleast a couple of years at worst. Then she bought 10 down jackets in her size, and 10 each for both of her brothers too. She also bought 20 pairs of socks, both for men and woman pair, 10 long sleeved shirts and pair each and 10 normal sleeved ones. She bought 50 pairs of thermal clothing, so wether it was cold or hot, it could regulate body temperature. Adding to that, she got 10 towels, 10 duvet and sheets. She also bought soft pillows. Su Yan paused, and pondered. Oh! She immediately bought 50 copies of body wash that she uses, aswell as shampoo and conditioner. She specificically picked out male kinds, 50 each too. She bought 100 packets of wipes, and toilet paper. Then she bought 20 sacks of cat litter. For when the sewage backs up, ehem. What else should there be? Hmm.. tanks for storing water! Not only was food scarce in the end times, but water was polluted too, making it hard for people to survive. Su Yan searched up a supplier nearby, and contacted the boss to buy 20, 500 liter tank. It wasn't enough for ten years, but she can't make an extreme order at once. It would be too eye catching. Su Yan thinks she was rrestrained in her online shopping, but the world was still in order and there are laws in place. She had no interest in being monitored and persecuted by officials, lest she spends her apocalypse in jail, where she would certainly become a zombie. Su Yan checked out from different reputable shops, opting for the express shipping options, which meant they would arrive within 2-3 days. When she stopped her express shipping, she has spent atleast 300 thousand in her extreme buying. Her heart ached, but the money will quickly become paper come a few months. You can't even buy a single pack of noodles for 10,000 let alone a 100. Money would mean nothing, so these were her safety net. Su Yan would live a good life with her brothers in the end times. With that thought, her loneliness was quickly dispelled. Glancing at the time, Su Yan realized it was already 5 pm. From waking up this morning and starting her crazy buying, she started to feel hungry and tired. Quickly, she charged her phone and went downstairs to fix herself a quick meal of instant noodles and two vegetable buns made by auntie. Su Yan counted the frozen buns in the fridge amazingly, seeming to forget this vital part. It was so long ago that she was a pampered young lady, that she forgot, Anuntie Luo who come by her house to do housework and make her food. Worried that she wouldn't have the time to cook for herself and order takeout often, Auntie Luo made her homemade food that she could heat up anytime that were delicious, clean and nutritious. She used to make her meat buns, and vegetable buns aswell as dumplings. Su Yan fought the urge to cry; these were the older woman's thoughtfulness. Su Yan used to work all the time without taking care of herself, so when the outbreak happened, she had no supplies at home. This food helped her survive the earliest days of apocalypse. There were more than a dozen of buns, and 2 tupperwears of dumplings. Aunt Luo made these for her every weekend, and she truly missed the taste. Su Yan will have to come up with an excuse to convince her to make about... 200 of each! A box of brightly colored packing caught Su Yan's eyes... And she hesitated, but eventually peeled one, and put it in her space. According to Qin Shi, the space had no preserving function. As was common among space type users, but she had a feeling otherwise. Anyways, it was just an icecream. She could still afford to melt one. So, she made the icecream disappear in her space and continued to eat peacefully. After fifteen minutes or so, the icecream remained in pristine shape, unmelted.
