Ch. 2 The gift

(Kore's POV)

First period passed by quickly with little conflict. Only two people made rude comments towards me. But when the teacher made a comment about no more comments in his class they all stopped. But that didn't mean they didn't throw stuff at my head.

After class as soon as I stepped out of the door I was tackled in a hug. Once I got out of the death hug I glared at my best friend. My only friend Angel started to laugh at me before I can yell at her

"what is so funny Angel?" I said while glaring at her.

"it's just you look so bad ass today I've never seen you so determined or confident looking" she said

"well I figured that since today I'm now seventeen and I will soon find my mate and hopefully being free of this pack I want to look good on my last day. I'm not gonna sit there and look like the trash and beat up slave that I am when I meet my mate, I want to look good" I kept getting louder as I finished telling her im sick of everyone's bullying. But then shut up when people started to look.

I looked around making sure I didn't make a huge scene in the hall while walking to my next class which Angel is also in. when I realized there was no one else in the hall which ment we would be late if we didn't hurry.

"we gotta hurry we're gonna be late and I dont want detention on my birthday." I said as I took off running.

"s**t!" she said as we took off running.

We ran into class just as Mrs. Patterson was about to close to door.

"well looks like miss mistake barely made it" said the most annoying voice which belongs to the most annoying girl the packs very own slut Brenda.

As soon as she said that the class broke out in laughter. I ducked my head and hurryed to my seat in the back of the class. On my way someone tripped me and if Angel hadn't caught my arm I'd have fallen on my face.

I could tell she is pissed because she soon snapped on the guy behind her because he had trip me. I didn't care though this wouldn't be the only time I'll be tripped or hit today.

"you should have hit her instead that b***h deserves it" my wolf Nezuko growls in my mind.

"yeah but that will lead to a beating which will happen anyways, she will try to make a come back soon and try to fight me she hates to be embarrassed."

" I just want to see her pummeled for all the s**t she's put you through since you first shifted at seven."

I just ignore her knowing if I don't I'll go over there and pound her face in she has bullied me the most. She has made my life hell Spreading rumors about me calling me horrible names and making me do their work and laundry and beat me.

They would even beat me when I refused to do something, or if I took to long or did it the wrong way. I get to my desk to see the word slut painted on my desk and that does it I bow my head as I feel my wolf trying to take over. Angel is beside me in a second trying to calm me down as she sees what made me so mad, she yells.

"who did this?"

"why is the little w***e gonna cry because of it?" Brenda says with a smirk on her face.

"you'll regret this" shee grits through her clenched teeth as we sit down.

The rest of the class and third period go by fast without any problems. Lunch arrives Angel has my seat saved as I reach our table she gets ready to ask me something as soon as I sit down, when a slim hand smacks the table in front of my face. I look up and let out a sigh of course she has to ruin my lunch before I can even eat it.

"what do you want?" I whisper as she just keeps glaring down at me.

"I just wanted to come by and drop off your present from me and Asher" she says in fake sweet voice.

She drops a broken mirror in my lap. I pick it up and look at my broken reflection in the mirror and then at her. she just has an evil smirk on her face as she laughs.

" we felt it was perfect for you since your just a mistake and broken" she says likes she won this time.

Before she has anytime to move or react I have her hand in my grasp and twist it. I didn't even realize the mistake I made when my head slamed into the table and I bounce off of it and hit the floor I look at her as she is screaming at me for touching her.

"that is not how you thank me for your present you little bitch." she snarls at me.

"let this be a warning to you I will not be so nice next time." she says as angel picks me up and caries me away from her and to the nurses office.

"What were you thinking perse?"she says to me in the hall, using my nickname she gave me since my name is Kore.

" I don't know Nez took over before I could stop her she's been on edge all day" I say back drosy from the hitting I took.

"you need to be careful it could be because she can sense your mate but can't tell who it is because he's too far from you right now" she says and that's the last I heard before I passed or in her arms.
