The elation I felt was tremendous. Elena was staying and agreed to be my Luna. After everything she had been through with my father I thought I was going to lose her. I felt like she was going to pack all of her sh*t up and move away as soon as she could to get away from me and my parents.
I questioned myself today when I froze when my dad was making Elena submit to him. Axle was furious and wanted to rip his head off for hurting our mate, but I just couldn't believe how cruel he was to her. I had never seen him do that to anyone else and I had been privy to a good amount of meetings with other wolves. My dad never lost his temper so quickly with anyone else. He was usually patient, especially with she-wolves and pups. I couldn't understand why he treated her so badly.
