Chapter 25 (Lucas)

969 Words
Lucas’s POV After Amy went back to the fitting room. I feel even more anxious than before. I knew she had scars. I’ve seen them, a few of them anyway. I never taught about how they could affect her more than in appearance. Do they bother her that much? The last thing I want her to feel is ashamed because of scars she’s not even responsible for. I know she didn’t ask for any of these. “You ok?” Mike asks when I join him on the bench again. “I’m not sure. I just talk to Amy and they were having… issues in there.” I don’t even know how to respond to all of it. I would never do anything to make her feel like she had to cover herself up in front of me. I’m not a jack ass. I know I can be an ass sometimes, but I would never to Sienna! She deserves to be treated like a queen. She is my queen. “What do you mean?” Mike asks with a concerned look. “Please don’t tell me Amy went overboard again with her.” He says, making a sour face. “No, not really. I’m not exactly sure what happened in there. I just hope Amy doesn’t push her too much. I know she wants to become Sienna’s friends and all, I just hope she doesn’t push her boundaries too much” “Oh, before I forget, I manage to have a meeting with Alpha Brenton in West-Mount Pack. He might know something about why Lana’s clinging to you this much. Lana used to spend a lot of time there with her cousin. Maybe someone there we’ll be able to shed some light.” He says with hopeful enthusiasm. “Thank Mike, you really are a great friend,” I tell him with all my sincerity. “Always man. We’ve been friends since forever, that’s not about to change.” He says We see the girls finally come out of the fitting rooms and head for the register. I rush getting up to meet with them. Arriving next to them, I notice Sienna’s red and puffy eyes. My heart starts racing and I’m glaring in Amy’s direction. Suddenly, I feel a hand gently sliding on my arm. “You don’t need to look at her like that, it’s not her fault I was upset.” She tells me, squeezing her hand on my arms a little, trying to reassure me. Whit a smile like hers, how can I stay mad? “Are you sure you’re ok?” I ask, placing my hand on the side of her face, caressing the corner of her eye with my thumb as if whipping imaginary tears. “I really am. Amy has been a great friend to me.” She pauses for a moment, with a stunt expression. “What is it?” I ask, worried by her sudden change. “What? Oh! No, it’s nothing. I just realized; I have a friend.” She says, tearing up a little. “Yes, you do. And you have me, always!” I tell her, kissing her gently in the lips, making her blush. I love it. She’s so beautiful with pink rosy cheeks. I’ll never tired to look at her. She’s so beautiful. “So, found everything you needed?” I ask. “Yeah, I did actually. I’ll be right back; I just have to pay for it.” She says, turning toward the cash register. But before she gets too far, I grab everything she has in her hands. She looks at me with a very confused look on her face. “What are you doing?” She asks. “This is on me. I’m happy you found something you like here.” I say, giving her a megawatt smile. “What? No… I… whoa …why?” She says with a confused look on her face. “It a gift. You picked something you liked, and I’m paying for it.” I tell her. She goes to say something else, but I place my finger on her lips, keeping her quiet. “I won’t take no for an answer on this. I love you and I want to buy this for you!” I tell her, now realizing what I said seeing her shocked face. “Y… You l-love me?” She says in a barely audible voice. Taking a deep breath, I grab her hand, pulling her closer to me. “I do, please don’t freak out on me. I’ve wanted to say it for a while now, but I didn’t want to scare you. I do love you and I’m not leaving you. You’ll need to get it through your head” I tell her, giving her a playful wink, trying to lighten up the mood. I hope she won’t run away now that I told her I loved her. “You don’t have to say t back if you’re not ready, you know. I would and never will push you into something you’re not ready for. Just, don’t run away from me, please.” I plead with her. She takes in a deep, stabilizing breath. “Ok...” She says nervously. “I mean it Sienna. You really don’t have to feel nervous. Come here.” I take her in my arms and hold her, not too tightly, but just enough, kissing her temple. “I’m so happy you’re here with me today, and every day since I met you,” I say, squeezing her just a little bit more. “Now, let’s get to the register and get out of here before Amy drags us to another store!” I say, walking up with her to pay for her bathing suit. Hearing her laugh and seeing her smile again, make me feel great. I just want to be comfortable around me and my friends. Well, her friends now too. She deserves to have peace of mind. She deserves to live her life freely and away from worry and abuse. She’s such a good and caring she-wolf. I hope someday she’ll be this happy all the time and every day. I know I’ll do my best to make it happen. To make her the happiest she can ever be! At least I’ll try to.
