Miya and I attended the painting gathering every week, I managed to develop my skills in painting. I saw some improvements and changes in my painting. Special thanks to my mentor, Marco.
On the last day of the gathering event for painting before the summer break. Miya and I are busy doing our painting. Suddenly Marco sat beside me and said, “ I can see better improvements in your painting, keep it up!” I felt happy for that complement, because I struggled a lot in painting.
“Which department are you from?” he asked. “I’m from the architecture department, I’m currently in my first year.” I said. And looked at him.
“We introduced ourselves at the first event, and I haven’t known your name since then. What is it?” he asked.
“I would always forget to introduce myself, I’m Danica Claire Rodriquez.” I said and held hands with him. We continued chatting and also introduced him to my friend miya. Later on, when the event ended, I bid goodbyes to Miya and Marco. And went straight home.
After that conversation with Marco, I became eager to know him better, especially since he shared a deep interest in the arts. I was curious about the challenges he faced as a multimedia art student. Although we might be enrolled in different programs, our interests aligned in surprising ways. Additionally, in terms of colors, it became clear that it was a weakness of mine, and I was keen to learn from Marco's expertise in that aspect.
The long vacation has started, and I'm afraid I'll end up doing nothing at home. While I was busy scrolling on my cell phone, I noticed a post that said, "ChronoVista Gallery will have a soft opening on the 6th of December. Register now and see the details. See you all there."
I decided to go to the gallery with Miya. I am filled with excitement as I wear a short black skirt, matched with a black sleeveless corset underneath, along with a white long-sleeved top. Completing the ensemble are a pair of black loafers with a gold chain and cute white ruffle socks that complement my outfit.
Walking into the ChronoVista Gallery, the modern Rome-inspired design immediately catches my eye. The inside is a cool mix of old and new, blending modern looks with a touch of ancient Rome. The big, bright entrance has tall columns that remind me of old Roman buildings, giving the place a timeless feel. As I move around the different parts of the gallery, I notice how the design fits well with all kinds of paintings. The walls are simple, with light colors and a bit of texture, making the paintings' colors really stand out. The lights are set up just right to make each artwork look its best, making the whole gallery feel classy and friendly.
The places to sit are comfy and placed carefully around the gallery. The furniture is modern and simple, letting people focus on the art. There are screens that share more info about the paintings, making it a cool way to learn while enjoying the art. The ChronoVista Gallery does a great job of showing lots of different kinds of art, and the design helps tie everything together. It mixes old and new, making it a fun place to explore art beyond just Roman themes. Taking in all the little details of the design, I can't help but feel how it makes the whole experience of enjoying the art even better.
My goal is to expand my insights about painting, focusing particularly on texture, schemes, and color choices. As I observe different paintings, one, in particular, catches my attention. The painting of the sea caught my eye with its beautiful colors – deep blues and calm greens blending smoothly. The artist uses shades of cerulean and turquoise to show how vast the ocean is, and adds a bit of indigo for depth in the waves. The texture feels like soft brushstrokes, making it seem like you can almost feel the sea moving in the painting.I checked to see who the artist was, but all I found on the painting were the big letters M and A with a sign of S in the middle.
I really love the sea; the sound of the waves is just so calming. The dream of living near the shore, with the ocean's soothing sounds around me, brings me a lot of peace. It takes me back to when I was younger and obsessed with mermaids and their magical stories. But being by the sea now feels different – a deep connection that goes beyond childhood dreams, a strong desire for a peaceful life by the water.
Usually, sea paintings are common, but this one caught my eye because of its special colors and smooth texture. The chosen colors and the way the artist used texture make it different from typical sea-themed art. However, it would be nice to add a little something extra to the painting, using soft pastel colors and a bit of darkness for the waves and background. Mixing lilac and dark purple for the waves, a light pink for the background, and adding a hot pink sun would bring in some vibrancy. To highlight the waves, a simple touch of white could be added. But that's just my thought on exploring the different color schemes.
Miya and I continued walking, taking a look at the different paintings and sculptures. Sadly, we couldn't take videos, but we could take pictures. We had fun exploring the museum and went home afterward for a tiring day.
