Alpha Jackson Stark POV

‘I can sense something ..’ my wolf James pounds in my head.

‘Shut it mutt stop shouting!’ I growl. We keep running in the distance until we come given a beautiful calm lake we slowly make our way closer to the opening and stop and see a beautiful White wolf with purple eyes and a glowing half-crescent moon mark on the side. I keep staring like I’m being pulled in strongly I take in her wolf form and gaze and the closer I get to meeting her eyes my vision always blurs. Fading. I hear something.

“NOOO!” I snap my eyes open panting hard. I feel bile rising in my throat and my heart feels clenched like I can’t breathe. ‘what the f**k is this?’ It’s 6 am and I get up and rush to the shower and drench myself in cold water, I felt like I’ve been in there for hours. I’ve been having these dreams since a kid and only in the last month they’ve been getting intense and feels so real. Even though Cole is my Beta he’s also been my best friend since young. We grew up like brothers practically, but I still could never talk about these dreams. I can never find the words to explain what this all is.

I mind link my Beta Cole and Gamma Zane and a trusted pack warrior Justin. “Get ready we leave in 10 the drive is 5 hours and we’re staying there for 2 days”. “Yes Alpha” they link back. I honestly don’t know why I bother going to Alpha ceremony especially for spoilt brats that get it handed to them and act out because they hold authority and that’s exactly what I thought of the new Alpha Joshua of The Full Moon Shadows pack and his Luna. They may be sitting in the top 5 States pack from old friend connections but mine is at 3 and that’s from hard work from the last 5 years from being at 15 moved up to 3 because we live as a family and thrive because The Stark Moon Pack get s**t done.

I move towards my room and dry myself off. I usually go for the black-on-black attire but today I felt like wearing something Navy. I change into a navy suit and vest with a white collard undershirt and black tie. I put on some Black dress shoes and slick my jet-black hair back and put on some cologne. The colors look good on my tanned skin and make my hazel green eyes pop a bit. ‘Not bad huh, James?’ as I check us out in the mirror. ‘Cleaned up nicely human but I’ll look better than you’ James chuckles while I roll my eyes. I and wolf have never been one to make small talk. ‘We’re all packed up and ready when you are Alpha’ Justin links.

I grab my already packed duffle bag and head out downstairs to the main entrance of the packhouse. I see my father the previous Alpha Evan coming from the basement door “Hey dad, thanks for watching over pack duties this weekend for me. We’re heading out now!” before turning towards the door. “Be safe and have some fun son” I hear him say before I manage to close the door behind me. I enter one of the black-on-black Jeeps the guys have packed up and ready. I sit back and close my eyes and then look out the window. ‘Zane. Play Tame Impala The less I know’ I privately mind link him. He gives me a smirk in the rearview. ‘Yeah.. yeah, Zane just do it’. “Here we come she-wolves of The Full Moon Shadow pack” Cole chuckles and gives a devil grin. “H*rny B*stard Cole” everyone laughs and rest my head again. 

4 hours into the trip and we've already made it onto their territory. We pull into the town Madeley just before we hit their packhouse to grab something to eat and coffee. "How you holding up Alpha, I know you hate these things," Zane says looking at me. I smile and nod and him "Believe it or not but I feel weird like home. I feel more at home here in their territory than in our own maybe it's because of a change of view?" I say and they all stare at me weird and confused. just as much as I am feeling about what I just said. "OR maybe it's because the coffee is better" I shrug and laugh it off and Cole snaps at me "Definitely! the coffee is better" and we laugh. We carry on our drive and see there are wolves in the trees keeping watch and some that were following us since we arrived and drive down a gravel off-road driveway. "I do love the security they have. That's an up for once." I say and they all nod. we carry on and pass a few houses, cabins that are beautiful, and gardens.

We come to a stop as we reach the packhouse it's definitely beautiful that's for sure 4 floors for sure, with many windows and mahogany redwood with a large front Miranda deck that goes all the way around. We are greeted by Alpha Damien and his wife Luna Lily. "Alpha Jackson, thanks for coming. This is my wife Luna Lily" he says shaking my hand and welcoming me with a smile.

"Nice to meet you, this is my Beta Cole, Gamma Zane, and warrior Justin" They nod and introduce themselves "Pleasure to meet you, Alpha Jackson, please come in and get settled," she says and shows us to our rooms on the second floor a down the left hallway. and we placed our things in our rooms and I held onto the small balcony in mine.

It's beautiful and it overlooks the set up back yard where the ceremony celebrations will be held, a garden and comes in view of the main lake that overlooks the peak.

There's a beautiful cabin home straight ahead just past the maze-looking garden. "Why does my room look directly at another? they don't like privacy or something?" I scoff. "Yeah, that's weird, or maybe you over analyze everything too much" I hear ben say.

"Jesus. when did you come in?" I turn and stare at him on my bed. "Look you think too much, lets get a drink and chill out this weekend. Find some she-wolves and then f**k off home?" he pleads. I just walk past him and head down the hallway which he quickly follows and make our way downstairs.
