Ready For The Ceremony

928 Words
Emilia POV She giggles and walks towards my wardrobe. "That's what I thought, now your future Alpha and brother's returning and Alpha title ceremony is today, or did you forge-" I squeal and bolt straight up not giving her time to finish her sentence and headed to my bathroom and started to shower and brush my teeth.   My older brother Ezra Ryan is our pack's future Beta. He was your typical popular in-school type guy, 6'2 with blonde straight hair that came down just to his shoulders, with ocean blue eyes like our mother with porcelain skin with a bikers dress style. I admire him sometimes he was also such a social butterfly and he looked like our parents, but I couldn't help but notice how I don't look like them. Kids in school always tried to pick on me, especially the girls that wanted to get with my brother. "You don't even fit in like him are you sure you're not adopted?" they'll always chuckle. He and our future Alpha Joshua Zada have been best friends since nappies.  They both went off for Alpha training 2 years ago after they turned the big 18 and in hopes of finding their mate as they also got to travel a bit for training purposes. I'm glad they’re coming home today I missed my brother. Although Josh is super handsome and hard to not gaze at he always treated me like a little sister growing up, we all used to be close probably why all the girls that fell for them always gave me and my best friend s**t when they left. But whenever I hear the mention of his name my chest feels empty. I think back to The night of Josh’s 18th birthday when he came and comforted me but when I was falling into a deep sleep he mumbled something to me.. but what was it? Why did it hurt? ‘why Josh’ is all I remembered coming out of my mouth that night.   Ayla May Zada my best friend of since kindy, and you guessed it? Sister to our soon-to-be Alpha. She barged through the bathroom door snapping me out of my thoughts as I wrapped the towel around me. She was wearing a beautiful white top laced gown with pastel botting half flowing out. The gown sat nicely on her hourglass figure, 5’4 with beautiful lightly tanned porcelain skin, with naturally blonde straight hair and Indigo eyes. Come to think of it she and Josh both look similar. ‘She’ll really suit Ezra’ I thought to myself for a split second. What the hell Emi? Rule number one “SIBLINGS OFF LIMITS!”   "HEY BESTIE!!" she shouted. Bringing me back to earth from my inner thoughts. "UGH! How could I forget it's today!" I walked out and saw a dress on my bed as if my mum already knew my answer. Ayla followed “I know it’ll be just like old times” and jumped on my bed. “You sleep okay?” She asks “You look like s**t rn Emi”. She stares in concern. “Yeah it’s just I had the dream again and it felt even more real than before. I don’t know” I sigh.   "Maybe we should try to hit the clubs take your mind off it next weekend? I mean we’re both unmated she-wolves that need a break? You train 24/7 throughout the week and we just graduated high school. GIRLS WEEKEND!” Ayla just turned 18 last week and we've been lowkey searching around our pack for her mate.   I quickly slip into this elegant navy promenade navy laced maxi dress my mother left out for me, I wasn't one for dresses, but I loved the way it tightly wrapped perfectly on my curves and matched my lightly tanned skin tone and the way the sides slits made my slender legs look nice. It also made my hazel green-brown eyes stand out more, I finish moisturizing and put light natural make on and brushing my curly black hair and pin half the side back with a pearls hairpin as the other half is left out. Slipping white thin strappy heels on and take me in as I stare in the mirror. "You are beautiful Emi!!!" Ayla gasps. "I really do need to thank my mum for being such a fashion queen! OK, I'm ready!!" I sigh and we head for the door.   Heading down the stairs we hair many footsteps running through and loud music blaring from the main hall. "EMILIA JANE!! YOU BETTER UP!" I hear my dad scream from down the hall. I look at Ayla and she just laughs at me giving me the "you dead" look. "Jesus Christ Dad, you'd think someone died with you shouting like that." As he and my mum turn around and see me they both gasps with their mouths open. "I knew you'd suit this" my mum cries out. "Beautiful," my dad says. I and Ayla make our way to the main hall there are fairy lights set up, with beautiful Emerald, White, and Black streamers hanging and grande setup. It was really beautiful, I used to like the color Emerald growing up reminded me to be bold but somehow my gut traitored up and went with a simple Navy. There were beautiful dry flowers on the tables and real bohemian-type vibes. We grabbed some champagne and headed straight out back to the gardens where more fairy lights lead to the gazebo overlooking the peak and lake.
