Howling to the moon

Chapter 2

It was the evening of the ceremony, everybody in the house was excited for tonight. My aunt came into my room and said she wanted to go true the ceremony with me real quick. "So i don't want to spoil to much but everybody is wearing white clothes. White like the moon that is shining upon you tonight. And then you wil follow the alpha into the woods, before you enter you wil need to take of your shoes and walk bare foot from then on. The alpha will take you somewhere in the forest and the rest wil be clear als you go on. Listen to the alpha, be respectful to him and follow what he tells you. Alright sweetheart?" "Yes aunt Janine, only I don't think I have something white, can i borrow the dress of Evelynn?" I see Janine think for and moment and than she tells me to wait here so she can search for the dress. 

Not much later Janine comes back with a box. She sits down next to me and takes my hand. "I know that I have my crazy episodes and I don't always treat you as i should. And I know that will likely still happen in the future. I don't say this often but i do love you a lot, you are my daughter. I just want to make this day special for you, like it was for me and your mom." She looked at the picture and said "I am doing my best raising her, I hope you are proud and watching this all. I think this is what you wanted to do if you were still alive." Janine turns back to me. I think that i know what is going on "is my moms dress in this box?" I stare at it and wishing i was right. Janine gives me a smile and says that i need to stand before the mirror with my eyes closed. Excited I do as she said and hear her open the box. She counts down from three and i open my eyes. She is holding a long white dress before me. It has a beta neckline whit trumpet selves. It had small flowers on the shoulders, and a little waist band. I loved it and my eyes teared up. 

I fitted the dress and it was perfect. Janine cried again and said something about looking like my mom in-between sobs and goes upstairs. I took the dress of so i couldn't make it dirty and went upstairs. We had a lovely dinner together as a family and for once everybody was happy and laughing at the table. Cheerfully eating and sharing stories about there own ceremony's. Jeff told me that one boy in his ceremony was so nervous that he puked all over the alphas shoes! The alfa just took them off and walked barefoot a little sooner than planned. Jim said that a girl in his group got lost in the forest and then needed to wait for the next ceremony to take place. We had a great time and all kinds of memories and old stories came up including embarrassing childhood stories. After dinner i took a shower and then Evelynn came to me "Would you like me to do your hair and make up? I will do something licht and natural looking, nothing to much." I looked at Janine and Jim for approval and they Nodded. We went giggling upstairs and did a little beauty routine as she did my hair and make up, her eyes sparkling while doing so. She loved to do make up and washed a lot of videos in order to learn it. Janine did not allow her to wear heavy make up as she found her to young but some little things like mascara, eyeshadow and blush were oke. I looked in the mirror when she was finished and loved it! "omg this is so ... wow" I felt really pretty, my red hair was loose and playfully faling onto my shoulders in beautiful curls and my make up was light but complimenting me. "Glad you like it ! I will show you how to do it another time, right now you have to change and get ready." I rain downstairs and put on the dress. i looked at myself in the mirror and than at moms picture smiled and went upstairs. 

Janine and Jim were waiting for me at the front door, they gasped when they saw me. They put a flower crown of white flowers on my head as a symbol that they will love me and support me forever. We took a family picture, i hugged Jeff and Evelynn in a group hug  and took off to meet the alpha.
