Chapter 5 The Wedding 2

697 Words
The soft swell of violins and piano filled the grand hall — their chosen melody, a gentle instrumental that echoed through the chapel like a memory too beautiful to speak aloud. It wrapped around Bellerose like a warm breeze, lifting her veil ever so slightly as she walked, arm in arm with Mrs. Lin. Each step brought her closer to Yoel. Each note stirred something deep in her chest — joy, disbelief, and overwhelming love all tangled into one fragile heartbeat. Tears threatened to spill. Not from sorrow, but from a happiness so full it almost hurt. She glanced around — the pews were filled with people who mattered, their faces glowing with warmth and love. But all of it blurred when she looked ahead and saw him. Yoel. Standing at the end of the aisle in a suit that fit him like a promise, he looked at her the way he always had — like she was his beginning and end. And then, he smiled. Not the smile he gave to the cameras. Not the one laced with charm or mischief. It was the one he saved only for her — soft, steady, and full of unspoken truth. In that moment, every flicker of doubt vanished. He loves me, she thought. He truly does. And with that, her heart said yes all over again. The ceremony unfolded like a dream. From the soft exchange of rings to the gentle joining of hands, everything felt both surreal and deeply real. As the officiant gave them the floor to share their vows, a silence fell — not empty, but sacred. Bellerose turned to Yoel, eyes shining. “From the moment I chose to be with you, I knew it was forever. I will love you as long as you let me… and even beyond that. I promise to trust you, to believe in you — because to me, that's what love is. It means choosing you, even when things get hard.” Yoel reached for her hands, his thumb brushing her knuckles gently. “I will be loyal to you and only you. And if ever there comes a time when my path seems uncertain, when I lose my footing — I ask just one thing: trust me. Because no matter what, I will never do anything that could break your heart.” The room held its breath. Then, with tears and laughter, they sealed it all with a kiss. The reception hall was a vision of candlelight and elegance — glowing chandeliers, long tables draped in ivory linen, and soft music floating in the air. Golden roses lined the centerpieces, and the scent of vanilla and garden blooms made everything feel like a fairytale. Bellerose’s laughter danced like wind chimes as she twirled with Yoel during their first dance. His arms wrapped around her waist, their steps slow and steady, as if the world had slowed just for them. Friends clinked glasses, speeches were shared, and old memories turned into new ones under the soft light. Mrs. Lin wiped away happy tears from her corner, while Yoel’s eyes never once strayed from Bellerose. At the end of the night, as fireworks painted the sky outside and petals rained like blessings from above, Bellerose leaned against Yoel’s shoulder and whispered: “Thank you… for being my home.” Yoel gently wrapped his arms around her and pressed a kiss to her forehead. Just as they were about to return to the dance floor for one last song, a soft voice cut through the music behind them. “Congratulations… to the most beautiful couple tonight.” They both turned. Standing at the edge of the reception hall was a woman dressed in an elegant satin gown that shimmered like moonlight. Her presence was effortlessly graceful — poised, radiant, and captivating. Her eyes sparkled, and her smile was warm… almost too warm. She stepped closer, and Bellerose couldn’t help but feel a strange chill despite the warmth in the room. “I’m Yana Belle,” the woman said, her eyes flicking from Yoel to Bellerose, then back to Yoel again. “I’m so happy to see you again… Yoel.”
