More Black Vipers!

Bryan’s mind raced as he tried to process what was happening. His fists clenched, and his eyes reddened. He had taken too many bullets on the battlefield, so the pain was not new. What shocked him was how they knew he was in this shop. "Aren't you even feeling any pain? Why do you look so normal with a bullet stuck in your arm?!" Lyra exclaimed, freaking out. His arm throbbed with pain, and blood was seeping through his fingers as he clutched the wound. Lyra, wide-eyed with fear, crouched beside him, her breath coming in short, panicked gasps. “Who are they?” Lyra whispered urgently, her voice trembling as she tried to make sense of the situation. Bryan sighed, his eyes darting between the shattered glass and the three men standing outside. He knew who they were—he used to run from them before he joined the military. After incriminating Bryan by framing him for the death of his father, Kira Adams and her father didn’t stop there. They mobilized BVG to kill Bryan and keep their secrets safe. While that was happening, Bryan also had to run from the cops. “Talk to me! These... these people, whoever they are, they are going to kill us. I need to know why I’m dying,” Lyra cried, fear sinking in. “That right there is Matteo Montoya, the fourth name on the list you just tattooed on my back. He’s here with his boys. They were sent by Dante Romano, the last name on the list,” Bryan said to Lyra, pointing at the man who had just exited the black van with a DPMS Oracle firearm. The sight of the gun in Matteo Montoya’s hand made Lyra’s breath catch. She had never seen a gun that big in real life. "Oh my God," she cried, freaking out. “What are you talking about? Why are they after you?” Her questions came in rapid succession, her fear making her voice tremble. “There’s no time to explain,” Bryan said, his voice low and urgent. “I need to get you out of here first. I’ll deal with them later,” Bryan said to her, but she was too numb to move. “Get me out of here, are you crazy?! That man is standing out there with a gun, and two other guys are standing by the van, also with guns. How do you intend to get us out of here?” she cried into her palms. "We're dead..." “We are dead! I knew there was something off about you; you led me into all this,” she cried, blaming him. Bryan, still clasping his wound, faced Lyra and spoke in a calm voice, “You are not going to die. Now shut up and let me get you out of here.” Matteo's laughter echoed through the shattered glass and debris, a mocking sound that filled the small tattoo shop with tension. Bryan kept his hand firmly over Lyra's mouth, feeling her trembling beneath his grip. He could sense her fear, and it took everything in him to remain calm, despite the boiling rage building inside him. The sight of Matteo Montoya alone made him remember the night his father was killed. Although Matteo might not have been the one who shot the last bullet at his father, he was present with Dante Romano and Kira, his ex-girlfriend. Dante Romano had fired the shot that took his father's last breath. Bryan only wanted to rip him apart at this moment, but he knew it would be stupid to just jump at someone with a gun. The silence that followed Matteo Montoya's initial mocking laughter was oppressive. "Bryan Miller!" he called out, his tone filled with mockery. "Hiding behind couches now, are we? The mighty billionaire reduced to this, like a dog in the gutter. You couldn’t even afford a ticket out of this hellhole country to save yourself from the cops. But don’t worry," he sneered, "I’ll do their job for them." Matteo Montoya, like the rest of BVG, had no idea of Bryan Miller's whereabouts over the past five years. They had no idea he had cleared his name and joined the military. “I’ll put a bullet in your head, just like we did to your poor father. I still remember the way he screamed and begged, but we didn’t listen. We buried five different kinds of bullets in his body, then pinned it on you. Hahaha,” Montoya laughed out loud. "It's been five years, but the joy of it lasts forever for us," he added. Bryan’s jaw tightened as Matteo Montoya's words sank in. His heart pounded in his chest with rage. Even as he crouched behind the couch, bleeding and outgunned, Bryan’s mind was calculating. His years in the military had taught him one valuable lesson: “The noisemakers are always the ones to go down,” Bryan murmured to himself. He became the Apex War God for his fierceness and brutality in situations like this. “Hahaha!” Montoya’s laughter grated on Bryan’s nerves; each mocking chuckle was like a needle in his side. Slowly, Bryan rose from behind the couch, his hands raised in what seemed like surrender. "You're going to get yourself killed!" Lyra cried, pulling at his leg. Montoya’s eyes lit up with twisted satisfaction, a dark smile spreading across his face as he thought victory was within his grasp. "So, you finally give up," Montoya said, enjoying the moment. "How do you want to die, Bryan? Quick and painless, or slow and agonizing?" Bryan met Montoya’s gaze. "How about you choose first?" he replied, his voice calm. Montoya blinked, taken aback by Bryan's response. The smirk on his face faltered, confusion clouding his expression. "What do you mean?" he asked, shocked. Before he could process what Bryan meant, the stool behind the couch was already hurtling toward him. Bryan’s swift kick sent it flying straight into Montoya’s hand, knocking the gun out of his grip. Montoya cursed, his eyes widening in shock. "Son of a—!" he started, but before he could finish, Bryan was already in motion. Bryan vaulted over the couch and delivered a brutal punch directly to Montoya’s throat. A loud, sickening crack erupted, and Montoya’s eyes widened as he fell to his knees, clutching his throat. His throat was shattered completely. Montoya trembled in pain, blood dripping from his mouth. At that moment, Lyra noticed Montoya’s boys running toward the shop. “Bryan, they’re coming!” she screamed in fear. At that point, Bryan looked outside and saw another black vehicle—a truck this time—come to a halt in front of the shop. Over ten additional armed men jumped down from it, wearing badges of the BVG on their chests. "Burn down the tattoo shop!" a sharp voice growled, belonging to one of the men who had hopped down from the truck. "We brought the explosives!" another voice shouted. "Good, blow it up!" the first voice confirmed. “Oh my God,” Lyra cried, believing they were doomed.
