Emerald was woken up by Marek's loud alarm. His alarm was always energetic and once Emerald had asked him about it, he had explained that it gave him the energy to start the day. Emerald had realised that he was right because every time she woke up to it ringing, She felt so energetic, not like her usual slow soothing ringtones. She reminded herself to set that kind of alarm any time she wanted to wake up in the morning.
"Wake up, Sunshine." Marek's voice fully roused her from her lazy state. She got up and looked at him, "Coffee?" he asked and She nodded with a smile. He came to bed with two cups and set them on the bedside table. He always got up early, did exercise, drank coffee then returned to sleep or just sat there and went through his mails.
