Maybe this will work, I tell myself as I head down the stairs, my hand trailing along the banister. Maybe Tyron will fall in love with Sanya. He'll see how incredible she is. How strong and kind and beautiful, all the qualities I love about her. And then he'll treat her the way she deserves to be treated...
With respect and care and love instead of possession and cruelty.
She'll finally be happy. Safe. Protected.
And then, I can move on in peace.
Even if I have to watch from the shadows as another man gives her the life I always wanted to give her... it will be worth.
Because Sanya deserves to be happy.
She deserves every good thing this world has to offer.
