It left him too breathless for his comfort. “Thanks for that,” he grumbled to Nero on his way out of the door, hot on Celestine’s heels. She was already in her car and peeling out of the parking lot by the time he reached her. He got into his car and broke about ten different traffic rules to try to keep up with her as she drove into Longville and straight to the morgue. He parked his truck beside her car, but she was already on the way into the morgue. Always one step ahead
