Potion

A scream escaped her lips, as the liquid burned inside her, burning her throat and vocal cords, burning each cell, immobilizing her, even if she tried, could not move the pain was all that she could concentrate on, that moment. Lily pinched her, to see if the potion had already begun to take effect, and the she-wolf felt an enormous pain, augmented by the fire that stung her veins: - It's already working! - Lily informed him. Then Sam felt an approach to her body, an instinct that told her there was danger at her side, but she could not answer, could not getaway, the fire made all her muscles seem to weigh tons. Then cold hands touched her, grabbed her left wrist, lifted the sleeve of her green sweater, with a thin knit sweater, and teeth, sharpened like razors, pierced her skin, ripped the fire, multiplied the pain, for something that Sam had never felt before, wanted to run away or scream, to relieve the pain, but she couldn't do either. She felt her teeth lengthen and claws too, she felt her bones begin the transformation that was so slow that it caused her horrible pains: Tony saw this happen by the purple color of her eyes as Rob began to thrill in the midst of his bloodlust: -That's enough, Rob! - Thony warned him. Rob grunted, something incomprehensible, in a state more animal than human, and Tony knew he would not be able to control himself, made a gesture with one hand and the vampire's body was hurled against the wall of the room, Lily murmured something with his hands in the air in front of his chest, the vampire was immobilized and the demon collected some blood inside the same clay pot that had the potion and ran his hands in the eyes of the vampire, making him unconscious and ran to dump the contents of the bowl through Sam's mouth. They knew that Sam should only wake up in a few brave hours, which gave him time to talk to Lily and to think about what had gone well and what had gone wrong, and especially what they had learned. Rob was the first to wake up, a little stunned: -What happened? - He asked. -You could not stop for yourself! We had to get you off Sam! - Tony informed him. The boy's gaze fell on the unconscious figure of Sam, sitting on the sofa, with concern on his face: - How's she doing? - He asked. -Well, I mean, at least she's breathing, we'll only know more when she wakes up! - Tony answered, seeing the maternal concern spread in Lily's face. -Did I cause this? - Rob asked remorsefully. -No! - Lily cried contritely - If someone did it, it was me! -But ... But I could not stop! - Rob argued, still sad. -There is no problem! We have stop you in time! - Tony replied. -The blood was so sweet, so warm, so soft, it filled me! I could not do it myself! - Rob explained. -How is your thirst? - Tony asked, taking advantage of the boy's leave, to change the subject. -I do not have! This is incredible! I never felt like this! Even when I feed on human blood, I am left with the remnants of hunger, which is growing, until it becomes unbearable! -How many humans do you think you would need to feel like now? -Bags of Blood, we no longer consume directly from the source, but I understand what you mean! At least ten humans, possibly, but never tried! -You will not even try! They both looked at Tony suspiciously, something in the tone with which he said it, which did not strike him right, then seeing and feeling their eyes, he explained: -Did you break what you said about werewolf blood becoming addictive? -Yes! -That's what he is! Human blood will satisfy you like human food! -What? But ... I thought ... I thought ... it was just because of the blood! The will to drink! Nothing more! - Rob explained in amazement. -That's not proven, it's just a theory, but when you're thirsty again, we can try! The two stared at Tony, their faces blank, not knowing what to say. Lily got up from the couch beside Sam and stared at her equals, suspicious of the look: -Is there anything else you forgot to mention? Or that you decided to omit? -No. - Tony thought for a moment. - I think not! -Shut up! - Whispered a voice, barely noticeable to Rob. -You think not, or are you sure you do not? - Lily asked in a loud, angry voice. -Shut up! - The voice asked again, which continued in a sigh but the desperation it contained touched Rob, taking him to face the two people in front of him, who were still discussing. -Shut up! - He asked them, giving voice to Sam's request. Tony and Lily stared at the vampire as he turned to Sam. -You do not shut me up! - Tony roared, his face showing the outrage he felt, and his eyes were red with indignation. -I'm not the one begging you to turn the volume down! - Rob explained pointing his head towards Sam. - It's her! -Sam? Good excuse! She's unconscious, boy! - Tony said in a quieter voice, the red flames disappearing from his eyes. -Not so much as we thought! Now calm down! She can and should need rest and not of these fights, near her! -I think we should all go to rest! It was a long day and full of emotions! - Lily advised. Rob agreed, prompting Tony to close the discussion and tell them where to rest. The rest was not great, as everyone woke up from their dreams with an anguished cry turned into a howl, leading the three to converge to the room. Sam had just emerged from the potion's effect and woke up, completing the transformation. The three of them stared at her with a mixture of admiration and fear on their faces. They watched, then, in wonder, the wolf reverse the transformation, it seemed always to be different and did not lose the frightening charm. In a rush of relief, Sam threw herself on the couch, already human. Lily came up to her and placed her hand on Sam's forehead to check her temperature and immediately removed it as she felt her scald: -It's on fire! - She informed the others, worried. -It's normal! - Sam explained in a hoarse voice. -All werewolves have a high body temperature and get even higher after a transformation! -OK! How do you feel? - She asked again, not very convinced. -Not good! I feel, as if, a truck or, rather, a train had passed me by! -Is there anything I can do to relieve you? - Lily asked worriedly. -I think not! -How did it go? - Tony asked, anxious for details. -As well? -What did you feel, did you feel anything? Sam was about to respond with the truth, but she looked at Lily and the woman's expression of concern with a touch of remorse made the wolf bite her lip and avoid the subject: -He's fine, is not he? - She asked pointing to Rob, when he nodded, she continued. - I'm alive and well, so I'd say it went the way you wanted it to!" -That's not what Tony asked! - Lily explained. -Then I say it went well! - Sam answered, a little tired of turning around, closing the conversation with his authoritative tone. -OK! - Lily agreed -I think I'd better get some rest before you two get another crazy idea! - Sam grunted, and to her surprise, Rob nodded to her. Tony showed Sam where she could rest and the others followed Sam's lead to rest.
