  Louis Hayden wasn't expecting to see or meet Pamela just as he stepped out of the elevator with Miranda's hand in his.   They paused and Pamela did the same. For some seconds, they both stared at each other and Pamela's eyes lingered down to his hands and she saw their fingers intertwined with each other.   She looked past them to the elevator.
