Settling In

As soon as Jade stepped foot into the building the stares began. She kept her eyes to the ground as she passed the groups of people. Somebody mumbles "a human?". She loomed up at them confused, but she quickly lowered her gaze seeing the person staring.
Jade looked around for the office when she feels an arm around her shoulder. She jumps and looks at them. It was Austin. There were a few gasps and he was smirking.
"Need help settling in?" he looked at her with a big smile. Jade nods "mhm". He led her to the office and let her get her schedule and a map of the school campus. As soon as Jade walked back over to him, he put his arm back on her shoulder and took her schedule "hell yeah we have gym and trig together".
Jade gulped "gym?". Austin nods "its required for 4 years here, although i dont k ow why". She nods and mumbles under her breath "thats why everybody looks soo good". She assumed everybody was in a sport as well. Luckily she joined the volley ball team. He laughed at what she had said "here ill take you to your first class". Jade just nods and says "ok".
When Austin took Jade to her first class he hugged her bye and said "ill be right here to walk you to your next class" with that he left. she sat down in her seat and endured that class. When the bell rang, Jade popped up quickly and left the room. There he was. She gasped.
