Misunderstood

I woke up this morning, excited to go to school to see my friend not cause I like him or anything. But it turns out I woke up late and I was about to be late to school so I rushed to throw some clothes on and ran out of the house. When I arrived to school I looked around the class to spot Adam out. When I finally see him he is talking and laughing with this new girl that I have never seen before. She has long curly brown hair, she mixed and, is short. She's absolutely stunning of course he'd be into her why wouldn't he be. So I walk to my seat not wanting to barge into their conversation. When the teacher comes in he says "everyone to their seats". But then Adam asks the teacher if he can sit by the new girl of course because Adam is new the teacher said "yes that fine". Once the teacher called attendance I found out that the girl's name was Chelsea. I was lonely the rest of the class but I didn't think much of it because when the lunch bell rang I thought oh Adam will come sit next to me. Turns out I was wrong because he went and sat next to Chelsea. So I sat by myself during lunch and had no one to talk to. When we left school to go home I decided to wait for Adam so we could walk home together like we did yesterday. When I saw him it turns out he is still with that girl. I don't know why but my face started to burn and turned bright red and tears fell down my face. I quickly wiped my tears away and start walking home so that no one sees my face. When I arrived home I threw my stuff on my floor and quickly ran to my room locked my door threw myself on my bed and started crying thinking, what did I do wrong.
