Chapter Fourteen The college owned an old house set deep in the woods. It was sparsely furnished but had the basic essentials, and was used for all manner of get-togethers. Miss Hannah booked it for her girls one weekend. “You’ve all been working hard,” she said, “and you deserve a break. Let your hair down.” When they got there, the girls rushed around, charging in and out of each other’s rooms, excited. Miss Hannah had arranged for a meal to be served, and there was wine too. After dinner Miss Hannah organised games. First there was Postman’s Knock, in which there was a lot of kissing and even more giggling.
