That someone

2005 Words
"One tequila please," and Lucas immediately returned to his seat. When he got back to his seat, his eyes never left Aaron's direction. He scoffed, "He's not handsome at all. I'm more handsome than him," he said to himself, as he stared at Celine again, who was now mixing his drinks. "I don't like that man, he's so arrogant," disgusted Lucas said as he looked at Aron. "I don't like the way that guy looks," Mark told them, who immediately agreed with the others. They were just drinking while Lucas couldn't take his eyes off Celine, who was now at the counter and serving other drinks to other customers. Celine noticed that there seemed to be eyes watching and staring at her, and Celine immediately looked around her, and her gaze immediately met Lucas. He then winks at her, so Celine immediately avoids him and doesn't want to be attached to that man. He looks rich and womanly, so Celine doesn't want to be close to the man who was just looking at her. Aron noticed that Celine was feeling uncomfortable with that man's stares. Celine continued mixing drinks and ignored all the stares she had been feeling earlier with those three weirdos she had encountered earlier. While she was mixing drinks, Aaron got closer to her, noticing that she had been acting uncomfy. "Are you okay? You feel uncomfortable with him, right?" Celine immediately looked at Aron and nodded her head. "Just don't mind him, there are customers like that when they see a beautiful woman," Celine was shocked by what he said and immediately squeezed her cheeks, which were what Lucas' eyes widened as he looked at the two of them. "Oh, Dude. It looks like the woman is his girlfriend, "Christian said while they were looking at them. Lucas smirked even more and he had the perfect plan to get rid of that man from Celine. "I don't give a damn care if it's his girlfriend. I can get her from him. Don't you know me? I can get what I want," Lucas said, and drank tequila while still looking at Celine. "She's just his girlfriend. Can't you see? Nowadays, married people still cheat. So, I can get her. They're not even married. So, what's the problem with that?" Lucas boasted. He had a lot of shots as if he had been through something. Lucas wants to see his father because his birthday is coming up, but he can't come because he still has work to do. Lucas never bonded with his dad for over a decade. He wanted to celebrate his birthday with him, but how could he even call him and invite him over? His father was always busy with all his work and his other family and children. Lucas was very drunk. Mark and Christian woke him up immediately, but nothing happened. He was so drunk and is now sleeping inside the bar. Celine was putting away her belongings because she was going home but she turned her attention to the man who had been looking at her. She looked at him and shook her head. "He's so drunk. How can a man act like this?" Celine asked as she looked at the man, Lucas. "Let's go?" she nodded her head and they went out. Celine and Aaron walked out and immediately walked back to the apartment. Aaron's apartment is not far from the bar where they work. Mark and Christian were outside, and they immediately saw Celine walking with Aron at the same time. "Look at them, it looks vague that Lucas will get that woman," Mark said, but they were shocked when Lucas vomited because of his drunkenness. "Oh, dude. You're so drunk," Christian said, and went inside the car. Mark then drove him to his grandma's house. They had reached Lucas's house, and his grandmother was surprised by what she saw. "Oh, God. Why is Lucas so drunk? Why?" she asked Luca's friends. Glenda looked at her grandson. Lucas looked so wasted and messy. "We don't know granny. He just wanted us to have a drink, so we escorted him to the bar." They immediately ushered Luke into his room and immediately looked at him. His grandma sighed while looking at him. "How can Lucas get drunk like this?" his grandmother asked herself. Mark and Christian immediately said goodbye to Lucas' grandmother. Afterward, She then called out a nanny to help her wipe Lucas' face and his body. He was wrecked by alcohol and it stinked all over his body. Glenda was wiping her grandson’s body because of the stench of the smell of alcohol on his body. "Lucas, why are you drinking like that? What if something bad happened to you?" she asked him worriedly as she continued to rub his body and face. She was still wiping her grandchild's hands when he suddenly talked. "Dad... Where are you?" Glenda immediately remembered his birthday. Her mouth was wide open as she remembered it. Glenda was looking at him with tearful eyes. She sighed while looking at him. Glenda felt sorry for him, but she also couldn't do anything because Lucas's father didn't show up. Lucas misses the love of a father, so he is very affected when he can't go to his important day. Glenda plastered on a tight smile when she cupped her hands on his face. "Everything will be fine, my grandkid. What you'd been wishing for was going to all come true. I promised you," she said to her grandson, asleep. Meanwhile, Aaron was walking back to his apartment with Celine. She was looking at the streets because she was relieved and freed from abusive relatives. Celine never thought that after how many years she spent her life with her abusive relatives, she was now free and living on her own. She took a deep breath, and Aaron immediately looked at her. "Is there a problem?" he asked. "No. I'm fine, maybe I'm just tired," she said and smiled at him. "I know. The first day was really a tiring day. That's how I felt on my first day at work too," he said to her. "Ah, I see." They reached the apartment, and Celine immediately dropped her body on her bed. She was so exhausted, and she couldn't even get dressed. As Celine was closing her eyes, the thought of her relatives came to her mind. She sighed and opened her eyes, and looked at the ceiling. "Celine, you have to be strong. You're free now, and you have to stand by yourself from now on. It's good that you're lost in that kind of place. Such a toxic environment if I stay there," she said to herself and closed her eyes again. She looked at the ceiling and sighed deeply. Celine could finally sleep peacefully and at ease. For the very first time of her life, she could finally sleep without hearing an argument from her aunty and uncle. She couldn't hear commotions from there. A smile was plastered on the corner of her lips. After a few more seconds, Celine then fell asleep. She was snoring, and all she had in mind was to rest. Aaron was in his room as he was about to knock on her door, but he didn't do it. He knew that Celine had a long and tiring day, so he wanted her to rest. Celine would start her duty in the evening and finish her duty at dawn just like Aaron. Aaron looked at Celine as if he was having a deja vu when he remembered his ex-girlfriend. She looks exactly like her. Aaron sighed while looking at the ceiling. “I don’t know what’s going on with me right now, but what I know is that they look exactly the same,” Aaron said while looking up at the ceiling. He knew this secret he had to hide would soon be vulgar. Aaron doesn’t even want to be selfish when it comes to that thing, but he can’t stop himself from seeing his ex-girlfriend Celine. He sighed in disbelief because he didn't know how Celine would react if she found out about this. He just missed the old times he had with his girl and that made him want to be with Celine for a long time. The following day, another day for Celine. As she always does, she woke up early in the morning as she was preparing breakfast for the two of them. It was kinda her routine, so even if she was tired she was still able to wake up early to prepare breakfast. It wasn't new to her, so she wasn't getting tired of doing that thing. Aaron got up from his bed and smelled the delicious food from the kitchen. He was sniffing as the smell was so good to be real. Aaron then opened his door and looked around. He then went straight to the kitchen and saw Celine was cooking while dancing. Earpieces were on her ears as she danced at the same time. Aaron was crossing his arms, leaning his back against the wall as he was looking at her. Aaron was still watching her dancing. She danced gracefully, and then Aaron suddenly had a sad expression. He remembers his girlfriend. He was enjoying it earlier, but the more he watched Celine dancing, he couldn't take off his eyes, and saw his ex-girlfriend. Aaron's eyes started to get teary while staring at Celine. Way back then... Aaron and Erica were always together as they had been in a relationship for two years now. Erica was always there for Aaron whenever he had problems. So Aron will never forget Erica because of all the happy memories they have. But the time did come that Aaron did not expect. The time when ... he lost Erica and everything he had. Celine stopped dancing as she saw Aron behind her while crossing his arms, but what caught her attention was his teary eyes. Celine stopped and just stared at him deep in thought because he was just staring at the floor. "A-Aron? What are you thinking so deeply?" Aaron immediately woke up from his imagination and immediately looked at her. "Hm?" "You've been looking at the floor for too long. Did something happen?" she asked. Aron shook his head and smiled at her. "No. Nothing happened. Don't mind me," he said. "Alright. Let's eat breakfast," Celine said, and placed the food on the table. Aaron just stared at her because all her actions and movements were almost identical to Erica's. Celine was on the table already and started eating. "Aaron, come here. Let's eat together," she said with a smile. Aron nodded his head and went to the table. They were eating, but Aron couldn't think of anything else but Erica and Celine's appearance and actions. They just differ in cooking skills. Erica was really a bad cook. Aaron laughed so suddenly that Celine was immediately confused at the weird action he had shown. "Did you just laugh?" Celine asked. "I'm sorry," he said while still laughing. "Isn't my cooking delicious?" she asked in annoyance. "No. It's not like that. I just remembered something," Aaron replied to her. "Who?" "The woman doesn't know how to cook. She was really a bad cook, so when I tasted your cooking I was amused because the mixture of her food was far away from your cooking. The taste of your cooking is actually so good. I laughed because finally, I did eat a delicious meal today," Aaron said to her. Celine was looking at him as she was thinking and reading what he was thinking all about. He seemed sad and Celine was worried about him. "Where is that someone now, Aaron?" she asked. Aron was sighing before he looked at her. He then smiled at her and continued to eat his meal. "That someone is gone now. She's gone and she will never be back again." To be continued...
