Memories, keep invading her mind

"What? Left? Are you going abroad, Madam?"
"Yes, it might take too long. So, please take care of him, okay?"
"Ma'am."
"Celine, I'm counting on you," Glenda said to her. Celine just looked at her, and she declined her offer. "I'm sorry, Ma'am. But I don't think that-"
"Please, I'm begging you, Celine. Please," she said while holding Celine's hand. Her grip on her was so tight that it was as if didn't want Celine to refuse her offer.
"I don't want to-" Glenda let out a deep breath.
"I'm dying, Celine," the reaction on Celine's face immediately changed as she looked at her. She could feel the sincere and serious look on her face while saying that thing to her. She couldn't even more after hearing that word coming from her.
"What?"
"I'm dying," she said again.
"Did Lucas know about it?" she asked her.
"No. He didn't know about this," Glenda replied to her, but it makes her confused. She wanted her to tell his grandson before it's too late.
"You have to tell him," she said as seemed like she was begging Glenda to do it as soon as possible.
"I'm not ready to tell him yet. So, please help me to-"
"But..." she looked at her, but Glenda seemed like to begged her to not tell Lucas about it yet. She took a deep sighed and looked at her again, "Alright. I will do it," Celine uttered, which caused her to smile.
"Thank you."
Celine feels pity towards her. She wanted to care for and look after her. "I'm sorry to hear about that, Ma'am. You had to be treated it to the doctor's ma'am," she suggested.
"I wish they can do it, Celine."
"What?"
"My cancer can't be cured anymore, Celine. My cancer spreads inside my body. Even I pay a million dollars, they couldn't cure it anymore," she replied. Celine's eyes watered while staring at her. She couldn't believe it that someone like Glenda really wanted to live and pay millions, but other people wanted to die so easily. Her lips also pouted while looking at her.
Celine was walking back to the condo while feeling down after hearing about Glenda's condition. "That's why she's being so protective with him. Now, I get it," she said to herself. She couldn't get Glenda's motive at first, but right now, she's slowly understanding everything that's happening.
Celine tossed herself on the bed and looked at the ceiling, "Lucas had to know about it. But, how?How can I tell him about it? Madam Glenda didn't want me to tell him? So how can I?" she asked herself. It was too hard for her to tell Lucas about his grandma's condition. Celine thought that she was not in the position to tell him. Glenda had to tell him herself. She took a deep breath while closing her eyes. Celine just hope that everything will be fine soon and that tomorrow will be a good day for her.
Lucas was smiling while chatting with some other girls on his phone. Mark and Christian shook their heads while staring at him. "The old Lucas is back again," Mark said while looking at him. Lucas was known as a womanizer and they looked at him, and noticed that he had been slowly coming back from his old self.
"Bro, you have to pull yourself together. What if your grandma might-" Christian stop when someone entered the room. It was Celine, she entered the room and looked at the three of them. She frowned while staring at Mark. She then walked closer to them and looked at Lucas seriously.
"What is it?" she asked. Lucas was still chatting with the girl from a social media account, with a broad smile on his lips. Celine went closer to him, "What are you doing?" she asked him, but he was too focused on his phone. Celine sighed and she had no other choice, but to get his phone away from him.
"There... I get your attention," she said to him, and he rolled his eyes.
"Give me back my phone," he command.
"What are you doing, Lucas? Why are you chatting with some other girls?"
"Why do you care?" Celine frowned even more.
"What? What did you say?" Lucas stopped what he was doing and looked at her.
"What? What do you want?" he raged.
"Lucas, what are you doing?" Mark asked him.
"What do you think, I'm doing?" he asked them back.
"Celine's here."
"So?"
"I can't understand you. Why are you acting like this, again?" Christian asked.
"I don't like her. We don't have any romantic relationships. So, I can flirt with anyone else," Celine's brows arched, and went closer to him. She was gritting her teeth while looking at him. Celine then grabbed Lucas' collar and looked at him, fiercely.
"Hey, do you think that I liked you?" she scoffed. "I don't like you too. I'm just doing this because you ask me for a favor. Who do you think you are, huh?" Lucas was embarrassed, as Mark and Christian laughed at what Celine had said. She then released her grip on her collar and scoffed.
"Alright. If that's what you want. I will let you do whatever you want to do, Lucas. But, don't you ever call me if something happened, okay?" Celine uttered before she left him. After Celine walked out, Lucas went back to his phone and calls the girl he was chatting with.
"Lucas, are you out of your mind?" Mark asked him angrily and went out to stopped Celine from leaving. He saw Celine outside, it was raining, so she was stuck in the exit's hallway. Mark walked closer to her.
"I'm so sorry about that, Celine. I know Lucas had been so stressed out lately. Just-"
"It's okay. You don't have to apologize to save his skin," Celine replied to him with a smile. Mark smiled at her.
"You know what, Celine. You're a good person, I know, and I feel it," he uttered. Celine's eyes blink twice as she faced him again.
"Why are you saying that now?" she asked him.
"Nothing. It just came out," Mark averted his gaze at her. He admits it, Celine has a unique beauty that could capture someone's heart. someone's heart. Lucas had lost a kind and generous woman, and that was Celine's.
Mark wanted Celine to changed Lucas's perspective in life. Change his mind on having family, and how to value people's worth. Mark was still staring at Celine. She finds it uncomfy and she then started to talk.
"I'll get going now," Celine uttered as a cab pull over. Mark nodded his head, and Celine went inside the cab. She was confused about why Mark is so kind to her, and why Lucas acted like that. She keeps thinking that Lucas was right after all. They don't have any romantic relationship, but it doesn't mean that Lucas had to say that in front of them.
She was inside the cab while thinking about Lucas. Celine was thinking about him, but the thought of Glenda came up inside her mind. She remembered about her cancer. She sighed in disbelief, "If Lucas had known about his grandma's condition. He might not be doing those nonsense things. I really feel bad for grandma."
Celine's angry at Lucas. How he handle and didn't put any attention to his grandma, but he was only thinking of the money he could get from her. Celine sighed deeply. "Lucas, Lucas, what a jerk and stupid you are," she said while clenching her fists.
"You'll regret it when you found out about it," she added.
At the moment Celine went out of the cab, she looked at the cab driver who was staring at her during the trip. She used to ride a cab with her Dad when they were off to school. Celine's eyes teared up as she remembered her parents again. She stared at her feet as the memories go back on her. Tears started to streamed down her eyes while thinking about them.
"Miss, are you okay?" the cab driver asked her.
"Yes, I am, Mister."
After the promotion of her Dad to the company he's working with, he got a car which caused them not to ride a cab anymore. It was the fifth time Celine ride the car with her parents, but she didn't think it would be their last. Celine didn't even imagine that it would be her last time to see them, and she didn't have a proper goodbye to them. It happened so sudden, and it makes her world to crumble apart. She was a kid that time when she lost her parents. Celine had been through a lot after her parents passed away.
She cherished them so much, but thinking about Lucas, disregarding and neglecting his grandma, it makes her heart ached. Tears continue to fell from her eyes while reminiscing her memories with them.
"Mom, Dad, I missed you."
