CHAPTER 5 Kaspian paced the length of the study, tugging at the too-tight collar of his shirt. The men who had broken in and stolen the grain and seeds from the stores had been caught, thanks to Captain Rafał and his men. It had taken less than an evening, and from what Kaspian had heard, they had not tried hard to cover their tracks. In fact, they’d been caught boasting at the Duma Inn. He swabbed his forehead with a handkerchief. They had all but confessed to their crimes already, and he had a sinking feeling about this trial.
