The sound of heels on the smooth floor of the Avengers Compound was heard and when the door opened, the heroes in the room couldn't help but be shocked and confused.
"(Y/n)?" Steve asked, confusion lacing his voice.
"Director (L/n)." You corrected him while his blue eyes roamed your black clothed body. You were wearing a black SHIELD uniform, much like Nick Fury used to wear when he was the Director of the association. Noticing their enhanced confusion, you added,"SHIELD is back in action and I'm the new Director of SHIELD."
"What happened to Fury?" Steve's eyebrows furrowed.
"Well, Director Fury..." You paused a bit, choosing the correct formal words, "is no longer among us."
