August took a quick shower and went to the kitchen. He would still have to go home and change clothes. "Sit down." Julie spoke, indicating with the spatula the chair at the counter. "Okay, love." Every time he called her that, Julie melted even more for him. She served bacon and eggs and toast. To drink, she prepared a latte. "When you're alive, let me know I've prepared something better for you to eat." She did, and August, who had practically swallowed without chewing, stood up, kissed her forehead, and headed for the door. Laura had left Gregory's room a few minutes earlier. She was sipping a cappuccino from the machine nearby when she saw Henry and August approach Gregory's door. She quickly hid. What if August saw her there and wanted to know who she was visiting?
