Julie accepted and shook it.
“Hello, nice to meet you too, Mr. Lambert.” She smiled a bit shy.
“Ah, no need the ‘Mister’ treatment. August is like a brother to me and so, you will be my sister!” Mark was a pleasant man and he knew Julie and August were going to marry through a contract, but he never showed that up.
Julie liked the man. August was satisfied that his friend seemed to approve of her. Of course, he would never treat her badly even if he didn’t like her, but when Julie looked down for a moment, Mark winked at August and showed his thumb up.
Mark lead them to the dining table, which was in the middle of the kitchen.
”He owns a restaurant and his food is the most delicious one you will ever taste. I hired him for our engagement party, if you don’t mind.” August whispered
