Laura, who was still standing around, watched as August walked out with a cynical smile on his face. 'What happened?' she wondered.

"Julie, how are you?" he asked on the other end of the line.
"Oh well. I'll be back at work tomorrow. Sorry I've been away so long since I started." She apologized, because coming to think of it, in almost a month with the company, she had barely worked.
