The fact that she hadn't said she wouldn't stay with Gregory because she wanted August was disappointing. He himself had established that they could love each other no more than as companions, partners, never as passionate lovers. But still… he hoped she wanted him, somehow, more than she should. Julie noticed his strange expression, sighed and walked towards August. "Come on, get up. You changed your clothes, showered, but you still look like a wreck.” She took his hand, helping him to his feet, his heart was racing, and it almost went out of his chest when he realized she was taking him to her room. As soon as the door closed behind him, she turned to the lock and locked it. He didn't dare move a finger, but he was dying to kiss and hold her. That way he’d be sure things would be okay
